Thanks for making these great and usefull videos Armin! Have a k67 myself my 2021 and love the bike, but had so much problems with the front break that made me spend a lot of money.... even got the ABS out and made direkt lines to the breaks (Hayes calipers). But after talking to a lot of people i think the main Problem was not the ABS with his long breaklines but to choose the right pads and discs like you did and dont bring the original stuff on the racetrack. Thanks for the awesome comment ! made my day :) Yes when you go to the track a lot of people talk about ABS delete etc. the biggest difference on track are made by 1. change pads. then 2nd after that is the Master Cylinder and only after that I'd go for abs delete and different calipers. But you get less and less difference. By the way if you still have the Hayes Calipers BMW should exchange them for free to the new Nissin calipers which are monoblock , but both do the job just fine with the right pads. I'll ride Mugello in July ! Can't wait to be in Italy again :)
Oh also I have a video where I change to alpha pads and rotors and the braking I track is amazing now : careful though the alpha race pads will not work at road speeds
Hi. Very well explained video, you deserve more visibility! Just got myself a 2022 model as well. It will be my weekend ride as well as some track days. How long does it take you for a full fairing swap (from street to race and vice versa)? If you get a chance can you make a video how to remove the rest of the fairings (with head and back lights), that is the part I am mostly concerned about. Keep up the good work!
Thank you ! The front with the headlights is a bit of work but the back comes apart quickly. I never timed it as my bike is now permanently in track fairings , but it is a good amount of work .
The clip that splits the 2 lower fairings is quite possibly the most flimsiest thing bmw have designed 😂. Took mine off and the lower part of the clip just fell off … luckily the top half is still hanging on I’m just going to make something myself to strengthen it .
Hi. Great video thanks. Two questions. 1. I've seen another video where there is a bolt behind the BMW emblem, your's did not have this, is that a 2023/24 year change? 2. Do you think it's possible to remove the black plastic panel that goes under the lights and around the radiator on it's own? I just want to get to the lower triple clamps bolts for suspension and front wheel alignment checking. Regards.
Interesting I don’t remember models having a bolt for the logo - maybe not stock? Yes you can remove the little aero spark guard to gain access to the lower tripple and use that to lift the bike - I usually remove them right away when I get them to have a chance to tie down the bike properly when on a trailer
Hi. Thanks. Last night before your reply I decided to go ahead and remove fairings both side to do forks setting and check wheel alignment. I picked up a 2024 model 3 days ago. I can confirm for anyone that behind the BMW emblem there is a long bolt about 4cm long. Once you see it you will never forget it. You push it out using fingers in the lower half of the circle. Seems your model doesn't have it or someone prior to you removed it for easier access. Regards. @@MonoMoto
@@irf888 I see it's probably for the Aero Wings to give some more rigidity to the fairing I assume. It makes sense that bikes with wings would have a slightly different design.
