    Is there anyway to buy a mold like this? I live in alaska and it’s cheaper if I just made them for my apiary.

      I don't have time to make these forms right now. Greetings from Ukraine

      Alaska, we have to pay dearly for the way we live isolated. Sometimes I think it would be cheaper to fly to the lower and bring supplies up as checked baggage. 😒😒

    What is the density?

    It is a very good job, congratulations, but one question, what is the density of the final product? Is it hard like the one in paradise beebox hives? do you have 100 kilograms per cubic meter?

      Closed cell spray foam (also known as 2 pound foam) has a density of about 2 pounds per cubic foot and an R-value of 6 to 6.5 per inch. Those are about 650 percent better than a pine box.

  • @donaldgulledge729

    Looks too much like steeling of someone elses design to me. If your video was titled "copying an artists statue" or infringing a copyright, would everyone be this positive? Next time just make your own design.

    • @tedadams1324
      @tedadams1324 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, in essence, doesn't nearly EVERY beekeeper "steal" someone else's hive design? Each hive that I build "steals" from Rev. Langstroth's design!

    • @donaldgulledge729
      @donaldgulledge729 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tedadams1324 building a langstroth hive is a far cry from literally casting a mold of some company's product.

      If you check Petro Prokopovych built a removable framed hive in 1817 before Langsthroth he was a guy from Ukraine so they copied him and gave him no credit he has also been omitted from Dave Cushmans website and Langsthroth did not even mention him in his book. And there is no design patent so it is fair game, a bit like Hoover how many vacuum cleaners are there on the market?

      @@donaldgulledge729 Is it illegal to do this if it's for personal use? As long as he doesn't sell these hives he should be fine legally?
