Another great tour is the USS Silversides in Muskegon, MI. A whole new amount of respect was found for WWII Submariners touring that boat (yes, boat, not ship). Holy WAH! How they did that job. That particular sub also hosts over night sleepovers (usually Cub-Scout and Boy-Scout troops do this). Every 4th of July they fire up the diesels as well. Just an amazing piece of history to be sure. Great museum there as well!
Great US History of Navy Sailors Working a Submarine: An outstanding amount of training and being in deep seas and danger. Big Thanks to Keith and Clarke :)
I was fortunate enough to tour the USS Archerfish in 1957 or so (I was 11 or 12) in Savannah, Ga. She was still in service then. I still remember most of the tour.
Well Keith after that tour you have a great appreciation for what men did and work in confined spaces deep under water. A very frightening though for many God bless the Men who served in subs and to the ones that didn't return home from active duty.
4:13 the german U-1206 nearly sank due to flushing the toilet the wrong way. They emergency surfaced and got destroyed after being spotted by the british. The toilets were pretty complicated to operate.😮 What an awesome tour, great piece of history that seems to be in good shape.
Fantastic video! My service was in the Marine Corps. Ships were cramped enough - I salute my underwater Navy cousins! I grew up in Akron and still have relatives in the area. This will definitely be on the agenda next time I visit.
Thanks for showing this. I would like touring old ships, but there's no way my wheelchair will fit belowdecks. When I was a young'un my parents took me to see a sub in Tampa. I thought it was cool, but I was pretty young.
What are the chances that you will be able to video your upcoming federal trial for theft of the government artifacts you stole from the 3 submarines? (Asking for a friend.) 😁
They've done a great job with that sub! You made a great tour video! Wonderful!
Very nice tour Clarke & Keith. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting, not usually seen information. Thank you.
GREAT souvenirs. Hopefully they’ll give you probation.

Very enjoyable video, my father was in the navy on a ship in WW 2
Wow I truly enjoyed that there was a lot of knowledge between them ole boys thank you for sharing that

Fun video. Take care and have a great Sunday.
They've done a lot of work on the old boat. It was a run down static display when I was a kid.
3 of my favorite YT channels in one vid! Thank you!

I reconize the zinc for the Codd. We were welding new ones on the Boomers during the 70s. USS Simon Lake AS-33
You know Clark, I spent 4 years on nuclear subs back in the 70's. They were grand hotels compared to those boats.
A few years back they found a couple new crate engines that were the same as used in the Cod.
nice tour

Man, that was an awesome tour. Great job on the video. Well done.
Welcome to Cleveland Ohio, The "Best Location In The Nation" was my hometown's greatest saying!
Thanks, this is an awesome video. Glad you’re healing fast!

Huge and luxurious compared to a uboat. The german submariners had NO fresh water for washing never mind a shower!
