Thanks a lot for this. I spent over 60 years without the Internet, and the opportunity to see TH-cam. Now I'm so happy to sit in Stockholm and watch your programmes on my PC.
Maybe Sir, because I saw the RR outside the Peninsula last week when there was an auction, and there was Sotheby's signage in front, thank you very much for watching👍😊
I lived next door to a couple of classic Rolls and Bentley vehicles. What made them special was that the owner had the means to do periodic body-off-frame restorations. Beyond that, one wished for 'resto-mod' upgrades to ignition, braking, and suspension. Better wheels would have helped: the wheel covers were often no better than on a standard American saloon.
The Darracq is the star of this group for me: pity the chauffeur with the gas tank virtually in his lap! How many elegant vehicles have had rear step-up entries?
Fully electric. The driving experience of the original V8-powered and the Lunaz-converted are similar: ample torque coupled with effortless acceleration.
It's sad that the newest models have script as well as badges all over them. Likewise all of the insignia on the interiors. Discretion is a lost art. Ostentation rules nowadays.
Henry Royce will be spinning in his grave. The new BMW made Rolls Royce cars are the ugliest I've ever seen and I say that as a former owner of a real RR
The two tone green on that Bentley is so elegant .....
