I just usually hand tighten them as tight as I can without a wrench, just turn until you can't turn it by hand anymore and it works good for me. It also makes it easier to get it off next time. I've changed oil from cars that had been done at a garage and they tightened them with a wrench as tight as they could and it very hard to get them off. They usually seem to tighten over time anyway. JMO, this is how I do it.
It depends if you get the 4 cylinder or V6. If it is a 4 cylinder and over 100,000 miles, I would recommend checking if the timing belt was replaced. If it is the V6, I would have a mechanic check for sludge issues. Those water pumps failed sometimes and leaked into the oil, causing sludge. But, overall, they are really good cars. Just a couple things to think about.
I have a 2006 dodge stratus & it’s overheating just bought a new thermostat & no leaks what could be wrong ? Coolant boils up & spits out when I drive it !
hello my name is Dean and I am attempting to do this but the 1/2 inch socket is not fitting on the bolt and I tried using a 13 mm socket but the socket broke any information helps.
This is what worked on my vehicle. If you drain plug was ever replaced, it may be a different size. I would try each one of your sockets until you find the one that fits the best. Make sure you are going the correct way too.
To anybody coming back to this video with a similar question and in the same boat th-cam.com/video/UwqA1vifRjI/w-d-xo.html Note: in this video he uses a hydraulic jack, i used a simple scissor jack to do the trick
I'm going to go to the store, go to the Beer section, choose the beer of my liking, I want to walk to the 15 items or less checkout lane, I'm going to wait my turn to purchase my item, once it's my turn I want to use my debit card, and put my PIN, the other cashier what a wonderful day it is , retrieve my receipt for my item paid , walk back to the car that needs the oil change, drive home, park in the garage, open the hood so I can cool down faster Karma
