Guys you forgot to mention about Daud’s response after knowing that Kim was molested when she was a child. He said “tum bohot bahadur ho, mere sabse bahadur dost” and he touched Kim’s hands. That was so beautiful. That scene melted my heart.

I think this was a great layer to add to her character. It wasn't flippant at all. I think it's great to normalize this, especially to confide in your husband. More of this needs to be shown on tv so people know how to act when such things happen as it does so often.

Extremely unpopular opinion but I never found Imran Abbas as a good “Actor”. We have established that a definition of a good actor is someone who has a broad portfolio and takes up various roles (hero and villainous). I have only seen Imran Abbas doing the same expressions in every role including that horror movie he did in india. Not to mention his overly did makeup and white cast on his face… he seems to come across as very made up on screen. Sure he might be charming or handsome in real life but that’s about it

If you have only seen him in certain roles. It doesn't mean he don't have a portfolio. Recently his dramas were definitely on similer lines but he has done very good work in his career and has taken different sorts of roles and he was very good in all of them. Khuda aur Mohabbat 1&2 , Mera Naam Yousuf Hai, Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai, Akbari Asghari, Tum Kon Piya , Malal , Dil e Muztar , Alvida to name a few.

Yunhi is absolutely tops with me nowadays. The serious dialogue/situation mixed with humourous touches makes me rewatch the episode as soon as it ends LOL. The slow burn is everything. The side tracks, the hypocrisy of the men in the house, Razia's issies, Suraya's dilemma, everything is so beautifully woven.
I'm with Hassan on the whole abuse topic. I feel like it was added unnecessarily and would probably be forgotten now that it has served its purpose of showing the audience why Kim didn't like Daud on sight.

I am so surprised that Pakistani dramas are going the Indian route. In the earlier dramas, consummation of marriage was not even a plot line because the story would be so powerful itself that there was no need of this crappy stuff. But now there is zero story, zero plot lines, negligible character development and the entire drama track is the consummation track. Pathetic to say the least!

I would just like to say to Nooran Makhdoom “Bhabhi, bohot chooti baat ki hai aap ne”.
I feel really bad for Meerasim fans and Murtasim fans. Personally, I never idealized Murtasim or his relationship with Meerab. It was not possible for me to idealize a man who has the ability to kill someone and after the latest episode we have established why I always felt “off” about Murtasim. His relationship with Meerab was toxic to begin with. A good love story is when both characters go through character development simultaneously throughout the show and end up falling in love. Meerab had no character development whatsoever and it has been 46 episodes! A relationship is toxic when one partner continuously disrespects and devalues the other partner. This is why Murtasim and Meerab were never a great couple in my opinion. They have no trust in each other and their relationship was started out in terrible circumstances. Their relationship did not have a good foundation. Meerab and Murtasim both bring out the worst in each other and a couple like that is not worth rooting for

For example, “Mera andar ka jaanwar jaag gaya toh tum kuch sambhal nahi payogi”, “Meri qayamat tum seh nahi payogi”, “Main bhi yehi chahat tha hu ke tum asa kuch na karo ke tumhe mujhse darna paray”. I think the audience definitely got blinded by Murtasim’s OTT romance and stopped looking at the flaws in his character. I didn’t like how Murtasim used to disregard everyone else and only gave Meerab importance. Like it’s a good thing to love your wife but give your other family members love and importance as well.
In addition, we have never seen Murtasim and Meerab share heartfelt and deep conversations. The only deep conversation they had was when Murtasim shared about his passion for photography and even in that scene Meerab just cried and she did not say anything! Right after that scene she helps Maryam elope! Apart from that one scene, Meerab and Murtasim’s scenes were just OTT romance or fights. Their relationship is just shallow. They never connected with each other on a deep level

Hassan, the backstory reveal was a progression in the story line.
This is how Dawood understands Kim. Her doubts towards religion, towards men who are dressed like mullahs, her quick to judge nature, and her moving away from her own culture.
It also explains why she's so self reliant to the point of learning self defence.
Everyone wear their scars differently. Some breakdown and become meek and mute for the rest of their lives , while some, just rebel and learn to showcase strength no matter what their inner state of mind is.
And this reveal is necessary and the tempo of cuteness didn't break coz dawoods reacted sensibly towards it.
If there's anything wrong in the entire conversation, it is Dawood asking about Kim's equation with George. Why does he need to know about her past? They're both adults and it isn't wrong to have an intimate relationship.
So what, would he leave her in case she had that sort of equation with George?

The audience can’t be blamed for absurd twist of turns in the latest episode of TB. I’d say that its popularity is rooted in the short romance scenes that were easily edited and posted on tiktok and other social media platforms. Which we did not get to see much in DNUTN until the last episode where Yumna and Wahaj unite. Same goes for JBG which was dense with historical references. Popularity time and time again is based on immediacy, simplicity and romance all of which sells.

As a long time fan of both Yumna and Wahaj, I watched his earlier dramas for its content ie jo biochar Gaye, DNUTN, and as far as I’m concerned Ishq Jalebi was the better Ramadan drama! However in terms of TERE Bin we all agreed we’ll watch it as a guilty pleasure as the script is really poor, but the two lead actors were amazing! however when it got to episode 46, here I raise objection because all along the social media platforms people are incensed that the writer or content maker had allowed this turn of events which has destroyed our faith in a character Like Murtasim whom we all were in love with as the writer said she set out to redress the imbalance and create a non toxic male! Really😳😳😳 No rapist can be seen as a non toxic male! Murtasim as we have come to know this character wouldn’t be expected to be this monster! Ehraam-e-Junoon is a better drama than Jhoom and even Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha at this point. MPHT is only trending because of Wahaj honestly and like you said, we have seen 20+ episodes, we just have to see the rest of it. Honestly I dont think MPHT will go over 28 or 30 episodes in total anyways. As Wahaj said, it was a production house with money. On Ehraam, I think Shanzay will come out as the good and shining star and Shaani will fall in love with her eventually and marry her. Its Shajeela who will play the vamp. Thats my take, will see.
Aamna is right, Yunhi is hitting the right notes. I cant help but draw parallels with TereBin. How will Kim help Dawood's sister marry the person she likes and not Hameed? Obviously we are not going into Malik Zubair territory but the concept is similar. I dont think Kim will help her runaway. Will see.

TB: I saw the writer's interview with Maliha and got the hint that the drama would have a sad ending. I feel tricked by the writer and the makers, who gave us this one-of-a-kind fictitious romantic guy, Murtasim, who does everything he can to gain this girl's affection up until the 40th episode. And just as the girl realizes she is in love with the guy and is about to confess to him, they ruin the climax and make this guy into a villain (totally out of his character). I can't believe I wasted more than five months waiting to see this outcome. 🤦‍♂

After that supposed assault, it's ALMOST impossible to have a happy ending. They can't make a girl confessing her love to a guy who's her husband who has r*ped her. But then it's TB's world kab kya ho jaye we really can't predict. I still can't believe I'm saying all of this for a drama that we celebrated for 5 months and for a male character like murtasim.
About the writer I think she's out of her mind earlier in her interview with fuchsia she said "contract breacing mei maza aayega" and what she meant was ki TB ki team ko maza aayega kyunki har jagah wahi chhaye honge...then she defended the slap and now she's saying that the r*pe will lead to the climax...and laughing when maliha said that we want happy ending. Phew. How much I hate her now.

Yunhi and Kuchh Ankahi are worth watching. Light dramas and you enjoy them. Hassan didn't like the topic of ‘Molestation’, in Yunhi, but it is an ugly truth. Such kinds of problems are becoming common in schools these days. I work in the school system. Every other day in the USA, we are listening to such stuff. It is very important to make our kids aware of such sensitive issues, not only girls but also boys too. Here, we staff complete a course every year on the awareness of sexual harassment, and the same children are taught by showing videos of bullies. The kids are taught where to report if something happens to them at home or in school. It is a very important topic and should be discussed openly.

The way story is progressing from Kim arrival, then her decision to marry dawood and now the whole focus on Kim and dawood as a couple wid the whole family in the background is really appealing. Her acting, which is more of a demonstration doesn't help either, as it gives off a very unpolished feel to the character. On the other hand as Aamna mentioned, Ayeza as Mehwish was on point because of the impeccable styling that went into the character. Additionally, she exudes a natural grace and elegance that makes her appear to be worth a million bucks.

and this is why I love Aamna ji - I love how you discussed Hassan's reactions on Twitter, I also replied to his tweet saying I disagreed with the initial tweet accusing of bribery, which was unfair, and that I didn't think your Jhoom review was overly biased, I did agree with Aamna's view that the ML is very young and therefor should be given a chance to improve, however also agree with audience that his acting is pretty poor, Zara N-A is carrying the drama, as well as the other actors are good, and I really don't think Hassan should have engaged in the spat on Twitter, ignore those comments they were non-sensical about bribery, but it shouldn't have dragged on as it did... even though it was offensive...
MPHT - seriously a drag, and yes Neelo was the only character showing some spunk... Maheer is not likable at all, I don't even understand why she is in love with the other guy... and Saad really doesn't need to suffer silently, however I also think, just because someone is in love with you, you don't have to reciprocate... I think Maheer should end up with the other dude (if she loves him so much) and Saad should end up with someone who is as nice as him...
Yunhi - this is really picking up now, Maya is great, its unfolding slowly, and I have no problem with the backstory they introduced, these things happen a lot, and its good to show not only someone who has gone through it, but gone through it in a foreign land, and how she is still spunky and honest and it hasn't taken over her character and traumatised her to the extent that she's gone into her shell... enjoying this one...
Ehraam e Junoon - not watching not a fan of the cast an the story is not gripping either... so will skip....
still not over the shock of TB - and still very very upset with the way the story went and the entire team there...

I think Noraan had no experience of sexual abuse. The way it is shown in drama is proper rape, its not that she agrees on the way. She is crying afterwards and so badly. In her interviw Nooran says if one is in love one exuses anything and everything. Does that mean paedophils are also excused, child murderers, serial killers all are exused because one falls in love with a criminal. What sort of concept is that.

I can't find recent episodes of Yunhi or Mera ba jao. It says the uploader has not uploaded this in your country. Is anyone else in the UK having this problem ? They do upload best parts of the episode and the trailer of the next, but not the full episode. Is it just me who has this problem ?

Mujhe pyaar hua tha I watch only Wahaj scenes which are for about 10-15mins or less only... Then here comes Neelo another best character... I watch it only for Wahaj and Rabia only... We are watching it only and only for Wahaj... Since this is uploaded after there bin review I would say we are watching all shows of wahaj only because we are his loyal fans...

Hasan & Amna thank you for taking our suggestions in your drama review and not just reviewing the dramas with the highest TRPs. The TRPs are misleading sometimes
