Ok lets be real; sure over time the price of monthly membership adds up but the reality is that if you arent an absolute NEET you can afford to set aside the money for a bigmac meal every month for RS. Bonds IMO have never been worth for the average player in terms of opportunity cost, they have always functioned as a downward transferance of wealth.
the thing that has made bonds go up the most consistent is the fact that they keep adding more stuff you can buy with bonds. i also indeed think that by the end of the year they will hit 200m. i also have a little tinfoil hat theory, i think they are intentionally trying to push the gp bond price higher so people are more tempted to buy them too sell them. which is like you are saying as well going at the cost of the average player.
they spiked in the beginning of the year but now lay low for 1-2 months. When they spiked everyone said they should be 200mil by now... Real life price changed in some countries so they will likely go up, which is not surprising. I have an alt on mobile just making money, so I can chill on my main :D
are you kidding? EVERY low level account can make 100m+ per day , with no stats required , just patience and time. Here are some methods just from top of my head - doing bushes for golden roses, cutting limestone to stonewalls , making frames , gathering divination energy , crafting necro runes . I can call 20+ methods where you do 10-15m per hour with close to no requirements. geeezus
so youre telling me I would need to do 10-15 hours of money making (a job) to play the game? That's not the point man lol some people could find it fun but I wouldn't. at the end of the day, buy or pay for membership however you want. or don't
Your pretty lucky to be making 3m per hour with low levels, member or not. + try grinding a bond on a fresh account from scratch and then maintain the membership after sweating out your first bond Just isn’t as achievable anymore and if you did drop 150m on a bond you wouldn’t be thinking “gz me, grinded this membership myself” you’d be thinking “wtf did I just spend my hard earned gp on, and how am I going to manage to pay for another in 2 weeks after they go up in price another 10m”, gone were the days of feeling achieved from grinding a bond, now are the days of feeling like rs3 is a second job
You don’t have to play rs like a job, even a midgame account could make that much money playing 1-3 hours a day seeing as even lowlevel moneymakers have to be at least decent or no one would ever do it

Now, with bonds being 150m but only going up one dollar... Then it becomes a LITTLE more likely that could be happening. Truthfully though, players who buy power only hurt themselves. They don't know how to use equipment and they don't have the experience for the content they bought the power to use it. A fool in fancy clothes is still a fool
There has to be and even then, a lot of people nowadays do still work minimum wage jobs and price increases do affect them! I do think people can pay $10 dollars if the value is for them. All depends

I was considering making an (iron?) alt, and financing it via bonds from main.. But really don't wanna play rs like it's a job 😂
