The Bible Project is a true blessing to all that watch their videos. Many times they have renewed a viewer's Faith in God, helped open hearts to receive Jesus and last but not least, deepened our understanding of God's Word. Thank you and may God shower with his Grace and His Khesed.
The Hebrew word khesed is one of the most common descriptions of God in the Hebrew Bible, and it’s almost impossible to translate into any other language! Khesed is used almost 200 times in the Bible to describe God. This word combines the ideas of love, loyalty, and generosity all into one. This is why English translations differ so much when they come to this word. We see it translated as mercy, lovingkindness, steadfast love, and unfailing love, to name a few. Khesed describes an act of generosity that demonstrates loyalty to a relationship and is motivated by deep personal care. Usually, acts of khesed are not convenient, requiring much from the person showing loyal love. We see examples of khesed all throughout the Hebrew Bible, like in Ruth’s commitment to leave her land and family to care for her widowed mother-in-law in a foreign land (Ruth 3:10). Another example is Joseph’s loyalty to his deceased father’s wishes, taking his body to be buried in a family grave hundreds of miles away (Genesis 50). Or there’s David, who adopts the disabled son of his dead best friend, caring for his every need (2 Samuel 9). These human examples of khesed give us a way to imagine God’s khesed, which is said to uphold the entire universe, preventing its collapse (Psalm 36:5-6). The universe apparently exists because of God’s generous loyalty. It’s also what motivates God to forgive really horrible humans (see Psalm 103:11-13). Khesed is what drives God to keep his promises to raise up the snake-crushing seed from the family of Abraham and David, remaining loyal to each generation when they least deserve it (see 2 Samuel 7:12-16 or Micah 7:18-20). When the biblical authors want to portray God’s generous character, showing that his love motivates acts of loyalty to generations of unfaithful humans, khesed is the word they use. “Who is a God like you, who forgives failure...because he delights in khesed” (Micah 7:18). This word communicates one of the most beautiful aspects of God’s character, which continues to offer us comfort and hope today. For more information on this topic, check out these resources: - Explore Character of God: tbp.xyz/exploreloyallove - Blog: tbp.xyz/blogloyallove - Podcast: tbp.xyz/podloyallove P.S. Regarding our spelling of "Khesed." Complexities abound here! The technical precise translation equivalent for the sound of the Hebrew letter ח is “ch” as pronounced in “Bach” or “Loch”. However, and I have found this to be true over many years, is that English speakers are not broadly familiar with the letters “ch” making that sound. The most common sound of “ch” is “chat” or “church”, etc. The second most common value of “ch” is like “sh” as in “Machine.” Almost no common English words use “ch” with the “kh” sound anymore. This has led to widespread pronunciation errors spreading among pastors and churches. Years ago, I decided to spell Hebrew words the way they sound not the way academics spell them, and thus, the letters “kh.” The basic point that we’re departing from academic transliteration practice for a strategic purpose: to foster correct pronunciation for people without any background in ancient languages.

The Bible Project is a true blessing to all that watch their videos. Many times they have renewed a viewer's Faith in God, helped open hearts to receive Jesus and last but not least, deepened our understanding of God's Word. Thank you and may God shower with his Grace and His Khesed.
Amen , already forgot what is love ❤ even Animals are more lovable. We become like dead robots
No soul deserves God's love but still God loves all of us which is His only greatest Divine love. Existance of God is the real blessing for us souls.

So cool!

I was 5 years of chronic illness! I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work.
I now have a Christian Channel where I encourage people and show them what God did in my life and that there is hope for you also. ✝️🔥☺️
*Keep believing even when it's hard* 🙏❤️🔥👆🏼

Each time I watch your videos my children are captivated by the graphics and the message. Thank you for making these!

This video can make an old man cry. So special... thank you so much for this.
I just came across this today and I feel so blessed. We serve a God that has no limitations and endures forever, He is loving and He is kind. I pray that I never forget this wonderful truth and that I may always stay grateful to our Saviour for who He is and will always be ❤
This is the love I am searching for and I have found it. I wish to give my loyal love to God!
I have quite the stone to move today. I am angry, deeply angry for what has been done to me in the past. I thought that what I needed to be was slow to anger, but what God has shown me through his patience is that I have been slow to anger already. It took years for this hurt to bubble up as anger. But now, even though my anger is justified, it’s time to let go. It’s time to forgive. This is the stone I must move. I cannot move it on my own, I cannot lift my own hands from beneath its weight, but my Jesus is well known for rolling stones away. Jesus, I give you my hurts, my anger, and my sorrow. It is yours. Thankyou for taking it from me. I want to forgive, as you do. Amen.
I hope that by writing this prayer here, I will give you the words to pray it over yourself as well. I love you my brother, I love you my sister. I will see you soon in eternity!
The part tht says "God recomits to his people who dont want to commit to him"
I felt that.
Thanks for God's KHESED.❤
Same! 🙌🧡💯
It's hard to apply Chesed to a god of cancer and death camps.
True but if only we repent( turn away from our sins) and not live in them. Then does God re commit to us

This is a BIG one!!!
We need to see God as *revealed in the Bible* , not as we believe him in our minds, or in our Christian culture. 😊🙏👆🏼🔥

May God Always Bless The Bible Project and the Whole team. May the Khesed of Our LORD and Savior be with us All.
Only the loyal love of the LORD can fill the deep void in our hearts :] ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Our LORD Jesus Christ is the most loving and generous. For someone who worshipped idols her entire life, He was merciful and He saved me. Without Him, I wouldn't be alive or in other words because of His mercy, I'm living and breathing. His love is what saved me.

God's khesed is overwhelming! I am so grateful for Him and I can't wait until the Lord Jesus comes back for us. The Sword of God channel just posted a video regarding His return and how it relates to the Revelation 12 sign. It's a great video.
Thank you, I love The sword of God, I've learned so much with the ministry! God bless you!
This was absolutely beautiful, thank you Tim, John & team.
I first learnt of the term “Khesed” from listening to one of your podcast episodes released last year, and I was in awe hearing that this word is used only 25% of the time in regards the loyal love of humans in the Bible, and a whopping 75% of times used in reverence to our loyal loving Creator YHWH.
Bless you all, stay strong, our messiah is almost here
I learned this just recently and I'm you on the beauty of it all.

Watching and understanding these videos gives Gods name more power. I am who I am, God just is good, loving, and compassionate. None of us can say we just are who we are, we are never the same. We fluctuate with our emotions and circumstances, but God just is God. I am who I am. What I first thought was a weird name, is becoming the most beautiful name there is.
How lucky are we to have such a wonderful, selfless, patient, merciful, loving God?

Part of the character of God is khesed (loyal love). Therefore he will act according to his name throughout generations.
My love isn’t always loyal, but I’m grateful to Yah because his love is. I’m thankful that he accepts me with all my imperfections and restores me, and perfects me.
I am challenged every day to give that same loyal love that was bestowed on me. Although I’m not fully capable of fulfilling this task, I trust and know it’s God working in me and through me by the residence of his Holy Spirit in me. Glory to toy father.
I've just realized how beautiful the Lord is and all of His characteristic. How compassionate ,slow to anger and loyal the Lord is to His promise and His chosen people, Israel. Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, may peace and love from the Lord be with us and Israel, Amen.

God is love. Period. Loved this video to reinforce the beauty and wonder of God.
I can definitely say that this is 100% true. When I first came to Jesus Christ, I was often overwhelmed by a paralyzing sense of my unworthiness in light of His limitless mercy and goodness. One day, the Lord responded to me (through a testimony of another Saint), "when I decided to show you mercy, I did not consult your unworthiness, but my own unbounded goodness and vast love"!🙌🙌🙏💖💖💖🙌
Perfect timing for my wife & I. Thank you for the reminding message of loyal love.
