The 2X levels are interesting because they each show off a feature of the Xbox: -Club shows off the dynamic lighting -Construction Site shows off the draw distance -Tampa shows how "photorealistic" the console is
Hey bro, love the content. Been a fan for about year or so now. Just wanted to say, Its a must you go catch more skate tutorial footage. You're super relatable and the way you break down the steps and add important caveats that add extremely crucial info on how to pull off the tricks. Would love to see re updated ones of old i.e. the freestyle rail tricks (really loved those). Keep up the awesome work bro I hope you get the come up you deserve. Just another super real down to earth humble guy with a passion for the same thing we all love as core fan's of skateboarding. Thank you Rad!
Thanks for introducing me to that cover of "Not The Same," that whole compilation album it came off of is fantastic, and I'm glad to hear you're using it pretty frequently!
20:45 I believe this is because TH-cam both compressed and normalised the audio (I guess it assumes most folk aren't audio engineers so they try to clean it up a little). & when I say compressed, I dont mean they bitcrunched/reformatted it to a more lossy format. I mean they probably ran a dynamic processor/compressor over the audio to adjust amplitude and make all the audio levels even across the waveform.
Love these long session videos! These videos make me want to try to 100% my copy of this game. I got like 85% of it fully completed, but those secret levels along with a couple of the THPS 1 levels gave me some trouble.
You can definetly hear the difference in the mic quality, the bass is so much easier to to notice (its so much deeper, comparing to cam mic; which is almost unnoticable). It sounds really nice to the ear.
Oh... And this could be called Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HQ! The real THPSHD. They should make one with all games (without '5') with old physics in one in a phenomenal career mode mixed with all the career styles throughout the series but with a story connecting everything..
You can land big drops by holding down the ollie button as you land, and I believe that stats in THPS1 are earned by getting tapes (you don't get to assign them yourself, the game does it for you.)
@@jeremykohls9905 which game are you trying to play? I know i have original Xbox copies of Pro Skater 2X, Pro Skater 3, Pro Skater 4, and Underground 1 and 2. I have the 360 version of american wasteland, but i know the original xbox copy works. Not positive about project 8 or proving ground. The problem might be if youre playing with an HDMI cord, i think you might have to use the old RCA red white and yellow plugs.
I'm an audio engineer (2008-present) and I didnt even notice the mic change. I'm usually very good at catching differences in a mic pickup pattern, bitrate, sample rate, or other characteristic (like muddyness). What I'm trying to say is, you must be really good at I/O mixing and vocal post-processing. No way are these raw vox.
It's so funny and dumb at 59:59 hes all acting and thinking hes not going to be able to grab that last letter and when he gets its hes all exited... like dude u told us in part 1 that u played the game and recorded the audio at different times, so u knew that u where going to get it. Ugh lol idk but this dude is something else!
I've always wondered about these bonus levels, but never looked them up. They look awful. 😂 They kind of remind me of THPS3 levels, except not interesting.
@@Bradman06 IIRC, you just need to be holding the ollie button as you land - doesn't matter if you hold it the whole time or start pressing when you're just about to land.
I really hope they'll add the 2X levels to the new remaster, even as a DLC. Getting an original Xbox is almost impossible and 360s are harder to come by as well due to RROD and other technical issues plaguing the system.
I like this Version a lot besides the Blur effect that I am setting off everytime i play it. And... Here in Europe/Germany it is not backwards compatible on 360 unless you hack it, fix the compatibility and play it from an external hard drive. Or just play it on PC with Cxbx-reloaded :D I remembering import this gem and couldn't play it for a long time :/
Turn the camera on. Forget its there practice the tricks and just have a fun session. Throw in some trick tips when ur relaxed. Then ud have an hour of footage. Youd have to edit it down to like 5 minutes of the best stuff. This could work but it would be more editing.
That xbox 360 2x cover had to be photoshopped cause to my knowledge they never rereleased OG Xbox games in 360 style cases. Also with pretty much all OG xbox games you're better off playing them on the original console since the 360 simply emulates them. That and you lose my fave feature; custom soundtrack.
I lived in Alaska for the longest time in my life. Can't imagine what a winter in Michigan might be like, but where I'm from... It often snowed in September, snow stuck around from October through May, there were cold snaps reaching -50 F, and there was roughly 4 hours of daylight per day in December and January. Any day in winter reaching into the 20s F was balmy to me. Basically, "above zero" was warm. That was my normal. Of course, it's all changing now because of climate change. Nothing is going to be as it was.
Listen bro- IF YOU EVER NEED HELP WITH YOUR AUDIO MIXING/MASTERING, I'LL DO IT FOR FREE FOR LOVE OF THIS CHANNEL AND SKATING. I have 11 years experience and can show you sample work of mine. (22:20)

Yes, Loved the part one of this longplay, excited to watch part two

no YOU are fantastic!
You skated past the last No Skateboarding sign in Minneapolis soooo many times while looking for it.
I came here for this comment. It drove me crazy.

Your struggles on the night club and construction site made for a good laugh haha!
new mic sounds great!
Hey hope ur doing well
Love these long-plays w narration

90s skater, grew up in the era when we called crooked grinds "K-grinds." I used to think Koston was cool. Then he went full kook.
you mean fame went to his head? 'the michael jordan of skateboarding' thing? lol
Is he a douche? I always thought he seems alright.
Really loving your long plays
For the record, any tony hawk game that came out on original xbox is playable on 360.
How
@@jeremykohls9905 You just put it in your Xbox360 and play it. What do you mean ?
I doesn't work when I put it in

Having never played this, I kept wondering if you would check those doors in London. Thanks for scratching that itch!
8:02 "I'm just floppin' around loose here"
nice keep up the vids, good to know you're back at it
Love your vids RR. Keep rippin.
Great two parter. My vote for next playthrough is Thrasher. I loved that game as a kid even though I could never get beyond LA. Keep it up.
You can play every tony hawk game thats on Xbox on Xbox360.
Pro skater 2X, 3, 4, underground 1 and 2 and american wasteland
Also no School 1?

Nah he recorded it at the same time and had to pair it separately afterwards
Hey, if you see this in time, Humblebundle.com has Vegas Pro for like, $25.
55:03 The San Francisco treat!
Can’t help but notice all the chiptune versions of the songs. Where can we get them?
You can listen to the entire album on pretty much any streaming service at kickblips.com
Can this game be played on Xbox 360
North american 360's play it.
59:56 - Nice!
If you still have issues with Premiere, I'd recommend you DaVinci Resolve and Kdenlive. Both are free and are quite good.
If you want a chat box, do a youtube premier for these and chat along with everyone

Thrasher playthrough would be really fun to watch
I love the graphical upgrade I just hate the changes to the levels in THPS1
For having a way to contact fans you could get a Discord server.
I never realised how much the Underground games borrow from this game.
I never had 2x, wish I did. Are there exclusive levels in this game? Like the first one you played here? I don't remember it from pro skater 1 or 2
Yes, play it man. Its worth it!
I Got it off ebay for a reasonable price
you can survive big drop by holding jump
Don't you need to hit it just as you land? That's what I seem to remember
U still can’t always if stats aren’t high enough

Club London? Tha fuck, never heard of this level
I love these videos but your competition runs are so frustrating 😂
Not going to lie, I kind of want the Club stage on THUG Pro one day. Even if it's rather shite.
How I feel about the Subway and Skylines, even tho they’re so small
Not being able to land tricks with the camera on is a real thing... even with finger boarding.
"BIG DROP" landing: ⬇️+🅰️
Oh come onnn !?!
was Koston in thps1?
Nope!
forgot about the club level lol
Eric Koston wasnt in THPS1 1:09:00 omg!!!!!!
Thps3 - no manual challenge
you should play ariblade

Xbox emulation on Xbox360 isn't perfect. If you want to play Tony Hawk on the xbox, better go for original hardware
I like your narration. The playing was so painful. The fuckin worst. THEE FUCKIN WORST
