Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. Amazing how they still kept the classic Viper design. So 90ties but so cool :)
Thank you so much Dr. Kyle! I've been dying to see an in depth review of the new Viper!
This is one beautiful piece of machinery! The note of that V-10 is phenomenal!
I have been waiting for this one Kyle. Absolutely fantastic video once again, it is nice to also see that there are so many things the Viper is capable of. I have dreamt about this car, now I have seen it all, thanks to you. Fantastic work.
One of the only cars that actually looks like what it's named after, at least from the front.
That's a sick ass supercar. I love the entire design, especially the Audi-esque rear facia. The engine/exhaust also sounds astounding. It's interesting to hear two different V10s like the LFAs 4.8 V10 and this monster 8.4 V10. They both have unique sounds and characteristics. Both of which I'd love to have.
I have been waiting on your review for the new Viper GTS for quite a while, excellent Christmas gift Kyle, car is amazing, as always superb review, happy holidays.
You get so much detailed information on the cars you show. Not trying to steal your secrets, but I was just curious what types of places you get all of your info from. Good job!
Thanks. I'm considering buying one and sat in one yesterday. You're video was so comprehensive that it helped me find areas I missed.
there is a special, unexplainable charm to this car that makes me like it very much.
The power, nuff said , pure American muscle bebe ;)
It probably bit you with its fangs and released some potion in you and made you love it. Same happened to me but I'm cool with that :)
0slavsan0 haha, agreed! There is some poisonous magic to a Viper
Beautiful car, interiors and exterior details I like the entire body and design of this car, what a nice sounding car, gotta love those exhaust notes!
Thanks Kyle. I have one on order, and it was delayed by a couple of months. I'll watch this video over and over until the car arrives !
Incredibly in-depth walkthrough of this car. Great video for anyone looking to buy a Viper.
dream car for sure
Same
The Viper is and has been the only V10 equipped sports car that sounds better at idle than it does running through the revs.
*_Not true. Check out @SneakySnakes blue Viper. It sounds RAWWW_*
Good Job Kyle I have been waiting for you to do a Review of this car glad to see one love it Kyle you know a good bit more about cars than I do and when you say in depth you mean "In depth".
Finally! Thank You! I been waiting for this review.
dreams come true kyle!!! hopefully ill be able to afford one in 2081
lmao
I would sell my house for one of these. I just need a house to sell.
Why would you save up for a house and then sell it when you probably already had enough money to buy the car itself?
Tyler Phaneuf I don't remember mentioning saving up for the house, I meant if I already had one as many people do.
here's a hint become a real estate agent I'm planing on getting the SRT Viper or Corvette ZO6 for my 16th and a Nissan GT-R for my graduation/early birthday gift
+Tru Fusions I turn 16 next year I just need to learn how to drive
+Stop Playing with my name good luck with that mate 👍
Absolute beautiful piece of craftsmanship, I was looking threw the comments getting ready for someone to complain about the car not having the smart key access system, I was gonna say "back in the day we had to put the key in the door and unlock it manually" but there ISENT any comments about it so I'll shut up
I've been waiting for this review since the Viper came out. Thank you!
I wish these sold more because I don't want to see these cars being discontinued. I must have it!
kano b if they were a bit cheaper i would buy one fast.
Well I have bad news for you
@@raudello3666 lmaooo
I think I would take one of these over a Vette. Forgot they still made them, lol. Saw one on a Motor Trend Roadkill episode and was like, man I have to have one. That engine note though!
#MOPORN Good stuff WRB ツ
I'd take the viper!
WRB I saw one driving down the road back in August. They look amazing in person.
Yea and it's actually a car you can "afford" if you want
Now there's a guy in my town with one of these, in black. It's a beauty up close.
My favorite car by far thanks saabkyle04 for reviewing this
Great video man, Merry Christmas & have a Happy New Year. Special thanks to you Saabkyle04!
It would be halarious on a person's reaction if they asked someone if they wanted to race, then they said yes, so he comes out with a Honda Accord, and the other person came out with a Viper.
I would pay to see that reaction
i come here becaue of his new car, congratulations
yup
Same ahaha
This is my favorite car! Thank you Saabkyle for the video!
Thank you so much, I've been asking for this one for soooo long!!!
This is *BEAUTIFUL*! I wish you could do a video on the Anodized Carbon version. I keep seeing the same video of it on the show room floor, but not like this!
And to think... This thing has *SEVEN* more Cylinders than my car! :)
So your telling me that you drive around a 3 cylinder car. Wow you must live in Europe or something. Not to sound mean but yeah that is a lot of cylinders and it does not sound like a V10. It just sounds so sinister..... I miss my dads viper
Venomous Jason 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage. I average 44 miles to the gallon... Well, until the wind starts blowing hard. Then I get 42.
lol lots of mileage... good car to commute back and forth to work. Maybe one day you will be able to get a viper as a car to drive on the weekends.. Amazing car and a real head turner.
Trd Jason
You are a turd, do you know who he is? He has a huge TH-cam channel, and makes amazing videos. I think he knows a lot more about the Viper than you do...
I never said I knew more, and thank you for calling me a turd. That was my nickname for a long time :)
wow that thing is clean inside! with a small amount of buttons in the interior it looks fresh! :)
It's seriously like being in Forza motorsport... So much detail and information with the car.. Love the videos
happy new year! My congratulations! I wish you health and good luck! I like what you're doing!
Such a beautiful car.
Other than the tacky racing stripes on this one, love the car. Thank you SRT for having the balls to continue producing and improving this beast.
Very cool B!!! Hope you guys are well :)
that start up sound
About time they made a good looking viper again. Looks like the GTS I fell in love with as a kid.
GOTTA LOVE VIPERS!!
😆 Thumbs up if you came back to this video after you saw Kyle purchase this Viper!! 😆
The Viper is back, baby! Wow, she sounds good!
Kyle, you've outdone yourself AGAIN!
Thanks buddy!
Nice video ***** , as always. You're definitely right when you said "It's a Viper. You either want one or you don't." I personally really like the new redesign and think it looks fantastic. I've always enjoyed seeing Vipers, and I got to ride behind previous gen one coming back from a Paul Walker Cruise recently, and it was sick and sounded nasty(good) ! That being said, I would never own one because as much as I like them, I like enjoying them from a distance. I'd love to drive one sometime just to experience it and say that i did it.
Thanks a lot buddy! Great to hear your feedback!
Oh....I do want one of these Vipers! I have to mention, you are killing those fuel pumps in that Viper by, running it that low on gas! That's a $800 fuel pump(s) system but, it's warrantied! lol
I would order one in black on black with the black rims...! sweet!
He rarely reviews his own cars so that's not really his problem
That Startup and tickover is the best bit.
And now he has his own viper. Congrats kyle!
206 mph :0
I'm glad at least one car company had the balls to keep a manual transmission instead of some stupid semi automatic push button crap
Don't expect that to last too long though. The fastest cars in the world all have dual clutch automatics. If Chrysler wants their top-dollar performance car to continue to be competitive in a numbers game, a DCT is inevitable. Hopefully they will offer both a traditional manual and a DCT.
***** I think it will actually last as long as the Viper is built. Chrysler has always been consistent with staying true to their roots with building cars that date back years ago like the Viper and Challenger. Apparently a dual clutch is in the works for the Viper though for an additional cost. Honestly that's probably going to make sales go up cause it will improve straight line performance and it will make it a more pleasant driver in city and heavier traffic areas for those who drive it almost every day. On the other hand, Motor Trend says one of the reasons this car destroys almost everything around a track is cause of the manual. No waiting for an auto to respond, you just throw it into the right gear and go! I'd get the manual personally. Unless GM keeps a manual available for the new super car version of the C7, the Viper will be the only super car left in the world that you can get with a manual. Wow.
Or with what Jeremy Clarkson likes to call "flappy paddles"
MAZDA still has manual, ZOOM ZOOM
But I like paddles...
Nice to see that now one of these are yours
The interior on this year Viper is REALLY well done! Definitely one of the nicest interiors out there. And the sound...ohhh the sound is intoxicating. Just listen to it humming in the background as he goes through the interior features. I bet the exhaust snaps, crackles and pops something fierce!!!
I am a Lotus guy all the way, have been since I was 13 years old (35 now) and bought my dream car at 24 years old, which was the exact year, color and model I fell in love with; 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo white with tan interior.
I only mention this because I know that if I ever go after anything other than a Lotus it will most assuredly be a Viper.
it is quite easy two say that the Viper and espree are quite literally the antithesis however if you really no both of these cars inside and out as I have knowledge of then surprisingly as it turns out they are similar enough to stand back to back with.
I'm from Europe, and must say this is Americana to me, well the 97 model was that did it to me...
It has so much of ''not looking like anything else but Dodge...'' Corvette can be mistaken for another car, but this is pussy wet from the get go..
I would love to drive it here just because it's so rare and I do not care how many BMW or Audi cars are faster, this has some unique lines to it...
And I know this may sound a little stupid, but is there any way you can do a tutorial of how to drive a manual car? You do great reviews of cars, and I know you'd do great on it, and I know many others would like this as well. If not its cool :)
Who knows, we shall see :)
That would be awesome! :D and I'd appreciate it. like for example, what do you do in stop and go traffic, coasting, etc. I hope you have a great New Years!
Wow, nice nice review! This makes me happy!
Real nice improvements!
Thanx for this
8.4 liter engine!? impossible to drive this thing in UK. Great car nevertheless.
why? don't tell me about gas prices but other reasons?
In the States, cars are taxed by efficiency. In Europe, cars are taxed by engine displacement. Put simply, in Europe a large displacement engine with better efficiency is taxed at a higher rate that a smaller displacement engine with lower efficiency.
Great detail always, great video bro!
Awesome car!!! Congratulations for the videos!!!
nice job ***** I really do like the looks of this car. Its a bummer that SRT decided not to use an updated chassis on this car. I think its the biggest complaint even Viper fans have which may explain it sales number. As for me, its probably the best looking American muscle car beating the Corvette & even the redesigned Mustang. What do you think?
While I can't say from a track performance standpoint, it's a world of difference otherwise! Everything is on a much higher level of quality, even the paint. It's hard to compare it because it's so much higher than a mustang and nearly double of a corvette. That being said, a Viper is a Viper, I think you either want one or you don't. It's a niche market car that gives a very unique driving experience and appearance. It doesn't look like anything else, nor does it feel like anything else, it's just a Viper! If money were no object, then the Viper would be a no brainer as far as the all out awesome factor. Taking price into consideration and someone looking at price, then a corvette may be the better choice.
***** true but Corvette will be everywhere and you can hardly tell the difference between the base model & performance model externally from a far. ugh!
Zr1's are not a dime a dozen though......period.
lexcan05 The problem with the ZR1 or any corvette is that we as car enthusiasts can tell the difference between models but to the casual observer its just another corvette. I absolutely love the corvette and the Stingray is gorgeous. Put these two cars side by side however and youll get more looks and questions about the Viper.
***** Dillon, this is sooooo TRUE and its a bit frustrating that they don't differentiate it more.
this car is dope! but those tacky chrome rims gotta go. it aint 2005 anymore.
Definitely agree! They need put some black rims on it!
+Csantman romeo Black rims are getting played out too.
+krocialblack Black rims are timeless. They are also clean. They are definitely not played out lol. When people plastidip their shitty cars I agree, but on high end cars it looks good.
+Sneerz aluminum or gunmetal is timeless. Black is some kid shit that's on every youngster car or truck around here
not myname aluminum and hyper silver are great looking alternatives to chrome if you want the wheels to pop
mann really enjoing your videos alotttt just wanted to say keep them up and a latte marry christmas to you my friend saabkyle
welcome back Viper... now get back into those racing games. Childhood memories relived!
Can you review the porsche 944?
dude that thing has no gas at all
+Jakobly Yeah,I Noticed The Fuel Indicator
Really like the wheel trims on that thing and the rev counter is so quick revving
Great video, just figured out my other dream car!
Go Dodge I love Vipers. It sounds so amazing, cant wait to get one :)
SRT markets this under their name, separate from dodge.
Its still a dodge dude
Richie Killian
Dodge, SRT, Jeep they're all Chrysler Products :)
Omfg its a fucking Dodge buddy. Its u deer SRT For sub model numb nuts. It is fucking Mopar
The reason why its no longer a Dodge is because it is no longer designed by Dodge, Dodge no longer makes decisions on this car. This car is now owned and designed by Chrysler's SRT brand, therefore its an SRT Viper. :) Just like a Jeep Wrangler is not a Dodge Wrangler or a Chrysler 300 is not Dodge 300.
One of the only supercars made these days with a manual only transmission
And Corvette c7.
+GTRking1000 you can get the corvette in automatic so no. He said manual only.
Tyler Vaow True.
I like how he is actually recognizing Detroit and Auburn Hills Michigan which just happens to be the area I live in so go Detroit I love this car as well as the place of its home
OOO MAN IM SO IN LOVE WHIT THE VIPER !!!!
I'm glad I was able to hear the horn honking. Man that would have been a deal breaker for me if I didn't like the sound...
Somebody is new
New to what? TH-cam? The internet?
Jason Nyers
World? Universe?
Hahaha! "RUSSIAN TRACTOR EXHAUST". That's it!!! I couldn't exactly place the sound until I read that . . . it's perfect!
Jeff Baird pearls before swine
For some reason I don't know if its my computer or not but the RPM Gauge has a slight delay and lag when reeving.
It's my camera, I noticed it too. Sometimes digital displays and/or LED lights can look different in some cameras, not sure why. That's why you see LED lights flicker in some cars being recorded.
U should have more than 400,000 subs ...great vid
Wow Kyle!!! keep it up buddy awesome review!! :)
I would have laughed if the engine died while you were revving it. That needle couldn't have been any closer to empty than it was. I don't get why they'd let you review a car with no gas in it.
maybe they dont fill it for a reason...like if someone was to find a way to steal it then they wouldnt get very far lol
Belaclunn
Or they're cheap. lol
TheCobruhAlienat0r Well you see the base MSRP is a smidge over 100k, but you sort of have a point. :)
Kellen Friedburg
Just to be clear I was referring to the dealership being cheap by not putting gas in their cars. I'd expect a full tank of gas if I bought a brand new car.
TheCobruhAlienat0r Sorry about that, now that you mention that I totally agree with your statement. Dodge also makes cheap cars so that could have an effect.
My dad is getting it in February
You're lucky your family has money, lol
i could listen to the engine revving all day
Love your videos buddy!!!!
Tubes for air circulation are probably sink pipes.
One day... one day... I Am going to... see one in the streets.
No it sounds like a big pushrod engine.
The red viper symbol on the tach wil slowly fade in as u get closer to redline. Its super bright when its time to shift. Thats really helpfull and lets u focus less on engine note when on at track
Amazing! Thanks Saabkyle04
Best car this decade
i typed this with one hand
I prefer this car to a GT-R
that exhaust is awesome
maybe one day you will buy this car Kyle...haha someday.
Lol
He did.
Nicholas Zhuravlyov they're being sarcastic
They really need to add another transmission option... I'd like to see shift paddles on the viper, just as in the new Corvette.
I really don't like the shift paddles
Juan Aguilar Well, it's faster, so...
+OfficialEpic222 People ask for this. But... SRT made it very clear that there will never be a automatic or a paddle shift option for the Viper. It's either learn how to drive stick, or go home. What they do need to do though is update the trans to a more modern feeling 7 speed. But who cares what I think? I can't afford the damn car, so I shouldn't be dwelling on it.
krocialblack I know how to drive a standard, that's not the issue. The issue is the transmission is limiting the performance of the car... The car will guaranteed make better numbers if the transmission was paddle shifted.
And why couldn't they just keep the manual for those who claim to be "enthusiasts", and just add the paddle option for those who are really looking to tear up the track. It's a win-win.
OfficialEpic222
Because in SRT's own words. "We're not building another Corvette". That's why it won't happen. Just like there will not put a Hemi V8 inside of it.
Cool car! Great review!
Nice! You uploaded this, I was waiting for this :P Thanks for the upload!
Man I was hoping the people at SRT would use actual snake skin for the bucket seats lol. The driver would probably be itch hahah
This is a real Super sports car! This is the real deal. you no like then Kindly go to fucking hell! :D
Lol! So true :3
I like corvettes !!
Viper's V10 - best sounding V10 on the whole fucking world !!!!! Gallardo and Carrera GT sucks
grzesiekromcio Remove that Lamborghini avatar then!
King David Hector exactly……so redundant
Every time u make video it becomes better than the last one. Please do this can u do a start up on a 2015 Cadillac escalade if u can find 1 please!
Kyle, i love how u are now playing the same song in every car u review, so we know the difference. keep up the good work! we are still waiting on the Bugatti veyron LOL
Sat in one of these and SRT had the price at $124K. No way this car is worth anything close to that, especially since the Z06 will outperform it by miles at a lower price.
I don't think outperforming the Corvette was their prime concern.
DeltaPhi79 Should have been. For 126k it should have beaten a car worth 70. Especially with 2 more cylinders.
+Captain Cocoa Puffs You need to take your ignorance somewhere else. If you know anything about cars, this DOES outperform a Z06. It was built to compete with the ZR1 and it can run with that car no problem. Hell Motor Trend even beat the record they set at Laguna Seca with the ZR1 with the Viper TA. These are absolutely worth the price, that entire interior is wrapped in leather and soft touch materials plus aluminum. It has a higher top speed than the Z06 and has the extra horsepower and capabilities to beat it around a track and in a straight line. Stop with the hating comments and learn to appreciate a car that can beat a $480,000 Lamborghini Aventador around a track. In a straight line, the Aventador wins, around the track, the Viper's smaller size, lighter weight, and RWD gives it the advantage. That's something for SRT to be proud of. You also provide no facts to your statement that is so ignorant that I seriously doubt you actually sat in one of these. They're not easy to find. And you miss the point, what other super car in this price point has the performance of one of these and gives you 640 hp?? The Shelby GT500 does not count, that's a muscle car. Sure it's incredibly fast but it could never take the corners that a Viper could, nor does it have the interior quality, hence the lower price. And don't call me ignorant, my Uncle owns a 2014 Shelby so I'm very familiar with those and I've been a follower of the Viper for years. Same goes for Corvettes.
Jose Faria Was it Aston Martin's plan to beat a Porsche 911 Turbo with a Vanquish? Especially with 6 extra cylinders.
DeltaPhi79 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that every car is supposed to compete with something else on the market. Some cars are built to be unlike anything else on the road like Kyle said in the video. The Viper is without a doubt one of those cars. It's always had a raw side to it that no other car has and that's a huge part of it's charm. After all, what is a Viper? A SNAKE! While SRT has civilized the car tremendously from what it used to be and made it a much higher quality car that's easier to live with, it still hasn't lost that side to it and that's a good thing. It has so much more personality than a lot of today's cars. While Ralph Gilles of SRT did say that they did build this car to compete with the Corvette ZR1, they also built to be in a class by itself like it always has been. And much to the dismay of the haters, it was the first American car to hit 400 hp when it was introduced in 1992 (out of a fuel injected engine that is).
2014 corvette is that you?
what ever you can tell they have used certain looks to kinda modd it into this, like the fusion or the taurus looks like it was modd into the new mustang
are you kidding? The Viper was out first and it looks hella better. The new vette looks like a tacky camero type transformer car. It's alright but the Viper has beautiful curves.
i guess you are new to cars, asking such clueless questions.
CHUUMPASS I guess your new to sarcasm and my opinion
***** Nah this car is ugly.
this car sounds good at idle. a Corvette ZR1 or Mustang GT couldn't even dream about doing that!
I love this car but not a $124,000 worth. Great job on the review. You do the best job on TH-cam.
29 minutes and you didn't even test drive it ???? 😡
+Masquerade Bergeron look at fuel indicator
Is it me or am I the only one who visited planet earth in 1983.... And cannot figure out why this new earth tech uses LCD for rpm!? I'm 30! If u use LCD, use it for ALL! Otherwise don't bother! Seem like rpm should be regular and mpg Should be manual... #correctMeifimWrong
This, ladies and gentlemen, is what is known as brute force...gotta love it!
I love this Viper!
