Allie is the top live music artist today. She always attracts crowds , been on large stage and writes good originals . Refusing to sign with studios is just special and now has started her own production company. A lot for a 18 year old and sets her apart from
I've followed Allie since she was 12...She had just turned 15 when she and Cuan sang this together. (She's 18 now ) She doesn't always have the lyrics on her phone, sometimes it's the chords. Her repertoire is absolutely huge, so yeah sometimes she uses it for lyrics. Who cares..there's many well known artists that have lyrics on prompters ) If you watch her later stuff you will notice an immense difference in her voice as it has matured a lot. Her voice has always had that little "crack" that you picked up on...some like it some don't...don't care...I love it. Its what makes her style...and she likes to sing the songs her way, not copy the original artist. Allie also has written many of her own as well...She just released an album of covers and another will soon follow with her originals

Allie is the best in Dublin and Ireland! She has some amazing live performances. In this performance probably barely 16.
An amazing range, try her covers of Adele Easy on Me, Tennessee Whiskey, Beggin’, Amy Winehouse, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Guns and Roses Sweet Child of Mine, Scorpions, Hotel California, Elvis, Gloria Gaynor I will Survive, or whatever classic you like. Also starting to show some songwriting talent.
I do love Allie. She has a powerful voice. I think she would do well with a teacher who could teach her how to control it . Sometimes she mistakes loudness for nuance. She has the most amazing voice I have heard in years. Everyone loves that little shift she has , its beautiful.

Yo, Mike you’ve met the AAS ! Amazing Allie Sherlock ! This was just one moment in time , Allie has given us many moments like this ! This young lady is from Cork, but has grown up from age 11 on the streets of Cork,Dublin, and primarily Grafton Street Busking ! There is pure magic in Allie’s voice ! From her rich raspy voice, to the vibrato she uses throughout her vocal range, to the ease she has in sliding in and out of her falsetto voice, and just the way she delivers the lyrics and makes whatever song she sings her unique version ! Oh and yes Allie is definitely Dublin’s most famous Busker, and should be the Dublin Rep. @@michaelgoyettemusic I believe Allie was either 14 or 15 years old in this video ! She just turned 18 a few days ago and her voice has matured and gotten even better ! A little deeper but even richer and she still climbs into her head voice or that falsetto voice easily, but with her richer voice just adds to the dynamics of her vocals, and she has become a very good guitarist, and a pretty good pianist too !

Allie sherlock is a great rabbit hole to discover and she includes the best buskers. That in itself is worth a gander....
Cuan is full of admiration which is remarkable, as he is a very skilled singer himself.Their duets are fantastic ... and I have to add that all of Allie's duets are absolute "KODAK-moments" - In other words, very enjoyable - whether with Jessica Doolan, Zoe Clarke, Saibh S or Jacob koopman.

Yo Michael! I first watched Allie busking at about the age of 14 in a TH-cam video. She normally works alone but sometimes has a guy join in. That little voice break is kinda a signature of her singing style. Glad yer back!! Never heard this one. Nice!

Great reaction and Allie is certainly the biggest Dublin busking attraction, maybe checkout their duet of ‘Shallow’ around the same time with 16Million views for another view on her ability

Yes, she lives in Cork. She sings most of the time in Dublin because of the larger population, including many tourists. People come from all over the world to see the buskers in Dublin, especially Allie. She now has over six million subscribers and growing every day.

Belfast has a great female band who busk. They are called Dea Matrona and are easy to find on TH-cam. I like their version of Oh Well, the early Fleetwood Mac song that Peter Green wrote.

I know that Dublin likes to claim her but Allie is from Douglas in County Cork and we don't allow Dubliners to claim our talent! She was born in April 2005, the year that Violet was beaten to death in Ren's amazing tale. She's an Aries like Ren and Aries' don't waste any time, they chase after the first rabbit they see, they get things done.

Yo. Tough to find people to match up to Ren and his group of friends. But you have to respect that they are out working on their dream and trying to earn some money. Allie is very talented and ive seen some other songs that seemed to fit her style better
Yo I went with the most viewed…..but it didn’t seem like either one of them knew the tune that well. They certainly didn’t beat anyone from Brighton that I’ve seen so far.
That voice break is an Allie Trademark. The one song isn't representative of Allie Sherlock. Try this Viva La Vida when she was 15 or 16.

Grafton Street, Dublin is full of outstanding buskers and Allie has performed with most of them. She didn't get nearly 6 million subscribers for being mediocre. I believe she has the 2nd most subscribers of any young musician on TH-cam. Only Karolina Protsenko has more with nearly 8 million. Little note: Allie has performed with Karolina in Santa Monica about 3 or 4 years ago when Karolina was 11 and Allie was 14. ( My favourite is Hero ). They have both come on a long way since then. Allie has it all . Major charisma, charm, looks, voice range, lovely vibrato control with runs and her own breath control and spacing.

No not necessarily…..it doesn’t necessarily have to be vocal based either.
@@michaelgoyettemusic I’ll have a think. Euro busking is lacking now compared to 5-6 yrs ago. In meantime have you done Romain Axisa’s Brighton (Big Push) & Covent Garden content - like him doing Blue Moon with his excellent guitar skills

I've seen Allie about the place in Dublin or Cork a few times. she hasn't yet made me stop and listen but who knows what'll happen in the future. undoubtedly talented but I feel her best years are ahead of her when she learns to apply her talent. Unfortunately for Allie singers fall out of the trees here in Ireland and it's difficult to get any traction.
I remember that to be the case from my trip there years ago….what a lovely problem to have!! Cheers.

@@dougoneill7266 She's not gonna release stuff when they (inc her dad) keep turning down approaches from major labels year in year out, is she? Just turned 18, not wise to jump the gun.
Anyway just because major releases are nill doesn't change the fact that no one comes close to her in terms of application.

Major record deals etc are far from required to be doing her own thing. loads of artists were writing and releasing stuff at her age.
If she is uncomfortable doing stuff on her own that is fair enough, not everyone is Paul McCartney. but she could, if she isn't already, be getting stuff together with a band or other musicians. until then, however hard she works, she'll stay exactly where she is, stood on a street somewhere in Ireland, I don't mean to put her down, far from it, but this is the harsh reality of life in the music business. there are literally millions of girls who can sing as well as Allie or even better than her. but they will not be successful on work and talent alone unfortunately

I like Allie Sherlock but as a vocalist you are never going to be able to give it your best if you have to look at the lyrics and most people in their heads are going to be hearing the iconic Bobby Hatfield version from the 1965 Val Doonican show live. This is a great effort from a youngster but falls far short in technique to what Bobby achieves. Now if you want to see something slick and pro check out Dea Matrona from Belfast.
She was fourteen years old at the time of this video clip not bad though was she.
Only ppl over 35 will have any expectations for the song….but I rarely use any notes at all to play. I get your point.
Some folks always seem to sell Allie short, and don’t appreciate what she is doing ! Some folks bring up the reading the lyrics, which she does but I’m pretty sure she is also reading music and checking chord changes as well ! Here is a fun fact that I have verified,this young lady has covered over 216 artist’s ! One of these days I’ll check out how many songs she has covered, which I know will be mind blowing ! So I would cut her a whole lot of slack on the reading her phone thing ! Allie throws so much at you in this performance, did you catch her vibrato as she built that big note and again as she came back down and the inflection she uses and just the way she delivers the lyrics ! And think about this it took Michael four listens to that BIG note to go from “ that was pretty nice “ to “ a pretty good money note “ to “ that break is priceless “ ! So, I don’t think she fell far short in her technique on this song , Allie took an iconic song made it her version and did something even the great Bobby Hatfield didn’t, that “ Priceless Break “ ! 🎤🎸🎼
