This was their second performance together. Allie pushed the classically trained Cuan (Royal Irish Academy Of Music) with her vocal strength. Cuan previously sang conservatively as a busker. Cuan is 18ish, Allie 15.

I love your honesty and appreciation for these two. And yes, when i first heard Allie and Cuan perform this melody, it blew me away. This tune is a standard to test the mettle of a singer. If they can't reach the notes, no ladder will help them. These two are dynamic...and your review is superb.

These two are amongst the best. Cuan, for me is flawless and Allie is a legend already. They have some really excellent buskers in Dublin. Don't know where the Irish get these guys n gals from but I haven't seen one poor performance from any of them on TH-cam or Instagram. Allie is just magic but the others are not far behind.
Lisa, Cuan was the mystery 'Italian' who cajoled his way to Allie's mike in the first video you reviewed. He's from Sligo in Western Ireland and Allie's form Cork. Two great videos, Allie in particular seems destined for stardom. I love your charming manner and positive inciteful reactions.

@Southern Comfort Cuan attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. Italian is taught in support of opera.
Cuan was in the other video too, w/ Allie, singing in Italian. They are both amazing singers. Allie on her own is amazing, but her videos with collaborations with others, far surpassed her solo videos in views. One thing I've noticed in her videos, Allie is not shy at all, she's a ham most of the time. She definitely had/has a crush on Cuan. One trying to one up the other here, great chemistry, as they both dig each other. Allie only 15 years old in both the videos w/ Cuan. Cuan, 17 & 18 at the time.

These two young people have a gift that is offered to us in a natural and organic state,it is beautiful to watch it unfold and blossom ,you should check out when Allie performs Shallow with Jacob Kooperman or when she is performing with The Three Busketeers or with Seamus Harty doing Budapest or Aint No Sunshine, she also has some really good originals ,Selfish with Fabio and John but if you ever need a pick me up and a warm glow in your heart check Allie out doing Under The Mistletoe at Cork Opera House were she looks about 10 years old.....Cheers Lisa keep on smiling .

Cuan's been continuously trained..classically since age 4..he's 18,she's 16. While he's just recently--I think--begun joining in w Grafton street buskers on Sundays (he trains in the city on Sats--and there are a few TH-cam videos of him.solo) he stands out. To wit, he's been 'discovered' ...offered a main role in a major musical..off these same performances you've so been enjoying w Allie. Listento hi recent TV interview! And, yes. The performance honesty znd collaborative spontaneity in 'Unchained' and 'Creep' and "Perfect', for ex. are beginning to draw a few high calibe reactions now...such as yours!

Loved your reaction to this video ! First Allie and Cuan both have amazing voices and tone ! You touched on why I believe Allie is so popular on TH-cam. It’s that personal touch you get with pretty much all Allie’s videos, especially on this one ! Their interactions as their singing, his reaction with that big smile as Allie hit that spot that gave you chills, and I love Allie’s reaction to Cuan towards the end when he hits that high note, that look she gives him ,and then when she realized he noticed that look she looks away

@@LisaGrandLand just a side note, today ( April 7th ) is Allie’s 16th Birthday. If you get a chance check out Allie’s TH-cam video library. I’ve found it’s kind of like going mining to find some Gems ! Allie has lots of videos with millions and millions of views that are amazing, but then you find some that don’t have millions of views that are also amazing ! Allie is kind of the exception to the rule, a lot of you tubers want to go and get all professional with production numbers, using videos, and all types of electronic enhancements. Allie keeps it simple , you get her heart and soul in her live performances and it just grabs you !

Love that they aren’t autotune machines like most popular singers are. Shame most of public thinks their hearing natural voices of entertainers, they wouldn’t think that if they heard the same song without autotune or hidden backup singers

Thank you for reacting to Allie and Cuan, Allie has a huge following, Allie has been busking since she was 11yrs old, as for being shy definitely not, I urge you to watch Allies version of Valerie, along with about 400 other videos ,Allie has been signed by Ryan Tedder of One Republic and supported them on their last European tour, another video which is a must watch is her original, "Can't Breathe " has to be the Street version, not the sanitised version on the Album, there is so much more to say about Allie. enjoy.

I love your reaction and commentary of this one of my favorite songs and of the five of my favorite performer's. I like when you replayed the 2 of their high notes , like I have done a hundred times and the explanation, it's bit of yodeling

Great song and this version is beautiful.Allie and Cuan really nailed it.
Despite Allie being so young she often assists other singers, just like she did with Cuan jumping back in when needed and then singing along while he re-established himself and finally left him to close the show. A real trooper. Mee too with the tingles, I often compare her versions with the original just to catch a lyric or two and I wonder whether any of the superstars could replicate their songs on the street.

I love this performance because Allie, but also Cuan.
I think your comments were spot on. I found Allie because I love Irish TH-cam artists and eventually it sent me to her channel after a year or two of The Try Channel, Diane Jennings, Justine Stafford and many other Irish performers.
I’m an American descendant of famine Irish refugees and reaching the age where I want to visit and Grafton street is definitely on my list.
But first I need to deal with a spinal problem that has limited my mobility for the last two decades! But getting close.
What did I react to this video? Honestly I reacted with shame as I spotted myself rushing by in the background. That said I do see both these buskers regularly (especially Allie) so I can't always stop.

The thing I admire most about Allie is her work ethic.
No rehearsals. Most of the collaborations are planned but not rehearsed. So some glitches are inevitable

Lisa, you are great, and this couple better get married. Just my thinking after watching so many of their duets. He is so spot on, never searching for notes. Love that. This is her best performance in my opinion, relaxed, with greater tone than usual. And she is so young, will get soo much better. Will enjoy watching both of them, would be easier if they were always together.
I think this is one of her best vocal performances. Awesome to see her working and working on her vocal craft and getting out there doing it and doing it. I wonder how her voice is getting with age?
I think her vocal tone is starting to be lacking as she gets older. However that being said... she absolutely does AWESOME with this song. She was awesome here. I hope she makes it in the music industry!!!
