I don't understand the people who dislike Rachel's videos! Undoubtedly she always tries her best to share with us new content that we cannot find elsewhere! We should be thankful to her. She's one of the best!! ❤🌸❤
I started watching your videos about 5 to 6 years ago. The first word, I learned from your videos was how to pronounce water like native speaker. Now I can proudly say that about 80%, I sound like native speaker. It’s because of you most of pronunciation improved. Thank you so much.
Thank God you guys exist. I'm Slavic and my accent isn't that strong comparing to other Slavic English-speaking persons I know, but I'm still not so confident about my pronunciation and gosh I'm SO glad I found you a several years ago. Lots of love to you ♥️
Hi Rachel Hi Tom your videos are very helpful to me I improve my English watching your videos Thanks Rachel you're awesome I hope you have a great Wednesday my dear teacher 😉🇧🇷 Stay home and take care

Wow! What an incredible video! It reminds me of my classes when I was in college. At that time, I struggled to learn phonetics, so I used to hate it! However, times have changed, and as a teacher and with more maturity, I can watch videos like yours to keep me studying in an easier and enjoyable way. 💜 Thank you, Rachel! 😊
Oh man this cleared up my mind a lot, Glad there's people that teaches this cause man it can be a bit confusing at least for me, I mean I have an intuitive understanding of how to pronounce words in American English, But this was really handy thanks, teacher Rachel
This was such a helpful video! Some of these I use them regularly but it was nice to go over it in detail and really understand the difference between one and the other. It's these small details and chunks of the pronunciation of the language that help u be more fluent. Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you Rachel for a very nicely done video. And thank you Tom. The consonant D is one of the most difficult consonants in the English alphabets. I always confuse it with the letter T. This lesson really helps, again thank you.
Amazing, Tom. Really good D sounds. I have been using them, but I had never stopped to think about them. This is a great video on how to improve your pronunciation and listening, of course. I beleive that everything you do to improve your pronunciation, it also helps with your listening because you start listening to the new sounds when you're watching stuff. Really cool.
@@rachelsenglish You and your team deserve it. You guys have been doing a great jo since always. Have you noticed how many Americans have become English teachers. TH-cam is full of them. Just because my Portuguese is fluent, that does not mean I can teach Portuguese pronunciation or Portuguese, for that matter. And I have a degree in Portuguese. But I wouldn't dare. Thank you for keeping your bars high and being surrounded by good professionals, like Tom. Keep it up.
Always learn something new from your videos! I had always wondered how to pronounce the d sound in different situations and now you helped me understand it clearly. Thank you and please stay safe ❤.
Wow!!This class is so interesting! I didn't know that D had 6 different sounds!! What I can't figure out is how I'll practise them. Thank you so much for your help
Who were the stupid people who hit “ dislike” to the video. You have the right of not liking American pronunciation but it is paramount to have this kind of knowledge to better understand people. Congrats, Rachel! My English is becoming better and better due to your clear explanations.
@@rachelsenglish You´re really important to my knowledge of English. when people ask me where I learned English I say immedeately with Rachel`s English. Keep up the good work, lady! I hope to meet you one day to tell you face to face how important you are to me professionally.. God may Bless you and your family for your great support ,dear! I`m really happy you answered me! Oh my God!
Hi there, I'm An Jun Gyu, a high school 2nd grade student, and I've been living in Busan, Korea for about 20 years. So, where're you quarantined & how've you been? Wow, "D" consonant has many sounds! Are you hard these days since you've been self-quarantining & practicing social distancing for about 2 months? Same. Mood. Heard US was in lockdown because of the infected cases & death tolls? No need to worry about it since that's just a phase. So I hope you stay healthy & thx for uploading these videos! I love you so much, Rachel & Tom!
Ohh God! I feel bad that I'm getting all these incredible lessons for free! They're so helpful and there's definitely a lot of work behind it. Thank you so much Rachel and Tom! You are amazing people! People always complement me on my pronunciation. They think I've spent a lot of time in the US when, in truth, I've never been to an English speaking country. I feel so happy When I start working, I'll support you guys on patreon as much as I possibly can. God bless you 🙏

Thanks for your video, Racheal. Speaking of the dropped d, can I use it between two seperate words? For example:
1. The end of the day
2. Found it
3. Behind it
4. Sound of the word
Hi! In those cases, usually, there will be a very quick, light D release. Most people won't drop it there.
