Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Yo Theo! As always...great presentation! Cutting rocks is a world of wonder isn't it? Thank you for your contribution to our hobby. Think of all the pebble pups and new hobbyists you are influencing. 👏
This is a good tutorial showing many different examples. Well done. Thanks for putting this together. I did a short video on directional material, which included Labradorite and Obsidian, however, there are many other materials that refract similarly. Have a nice weekend.
This is such a great tutorial Theo! That last Montana agate blew my mind! Thanks for sharing, you have been more help to me in my journey than you could ever know ❤
Hiya Theo, awesome video and great job on.....the how to cut stones. And your right, it's what you want out of the stones. I've cut pet wood different ways depending on what I want my cab to look like. I hope you have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😺🐟 out!
18:3218:33 this waterline agate has an incredible amount of banding , too many to count, and barely visible! It’s mind blowing neat that they’re almost more thin than fingerprints!
* I love the Eye-opening explanations for your cuts. The Dark Agate with the Electric Blue was Stunning. The one with whisps of lime green was Awesome.. You had so much Variety to use and it was FUN. Thanks, Theo.
Great video, thanks for the fantastic cutting information! Cannot pick a favorite because they are all absolutely gorgeous.🤩 Tell that agatized wood, No Soliciting!😅 I would love to see a cutting tutorial on how to place and cut labradorite, other feldspars and/or any rocks with chatoyancy. Thanks for another awesome video Theo!✌️🤠🤘
Man it's hard to find a favorite in all those. The one that surprised me most was the dark agate, super pleased with that one. I think I'll just have to say they are all amazing God's work is amazing!!
Thank you Theo! I don’t have cutting equipment, however, if I was going to have a piece cut for me, I’ll have a better idea how I would like it done! Yes! Laboradorite is one of my favorite pieces!! I would be thrilled with that video. I’m sure it will be great!! 🪨🤘
Wow that was a great video. And ironically enough I was just asking myself how do I cut these rocks.? Hello behold your video shows up for me thank goodness. Great stuff you got talents . New subscriber
When I get a sweet small patterned slab, the next cut is usually thin for use as earrings in matching sets and then maybe more. Also start thru the best lapidary material to end with the "butt" having the matrix baking it, not included in every slab. keep 'em coming.
Love the video Theo, I saw a video about petrified heart stones and the slabs looked just like many of your agates. Medical Biology books might overlap lapidary books. Keep up the great work.
Wow! Theo! If i did not live in an apartment building, i would have a she shed just to build my rock empire. I have a ton of rocks that i find, but i can't do much with them. So, i hold on to them in hopes that i can slab my rocks and make a rock salad of sorts. I thank you for the much needed education!
Excellent Video Brother!!! Your Eyes are a lovely tool... Best of both hmm I'd say best of all worlds of slab~bing cha~ching lol 😊 Thank You for sharing Your Knowledge........ ❤🤘👍❤
Cabal it down cutting any Rock depends on what you want to do with it and what experience you have built up along the way cutting. You must got some rocks and then you're on your own and that is the only way to know how to cut a rock.
Very informative and useful! But please stop shoving the stone at the camera, its very hard to watch. Closeups are great! but a little less enthusiastically!
