Hunting a Private Beach for INCREDIBLE River Treasures! Montana Agate, Plume Agate, Jaspers, & More!

- In this one, we are invited to a private ranch to do some rockhounding on untouched gravels! Right off the bat, we immediately start finding amazing specimens the moment our feet touch the gravel! Dark, mossy Montana Moss agates, colorful jaspers, the nicest plume agate I've ever found, agatized wood, and corals all waited for us on these pristine banks! It was an amazing day, and I can not put into words how grateful I am for the invitation! After the hunt, we head back to the shop to clean off our finds and cut into a few specimens! I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will have another one out soon!

‘Love, “Mr. don’t”. Hilarious. Love the fresh water clams…so pretty. The blue agate at the end = fav. Mary is nice and lucky to live there. It would be hard to get any chores done with the siren call of the rocks. Thanks.

That was a crazy hunt! Mary is a gem to let you guys roam her gravel bars. I don't often gasp audibly watching videos, but you got me a few times before you even got back to the shop!
For water, I keep imagining a simple DIY waterproof bag on a belt-pack or strap with an electric fountain pump and a decent sprayer mounted on a flexy hose. With holster, of course lol
...that, or a small garden sprayer. They're a bit bulky, but it'd be cheap, easy and less fussy.

Yeah that Blue is ridiculous. I find lots of blue out here but more dark blue. Lots of reds and yellows also. 😊😊😊😊💯🐠

I'm having a hard time picking a favorite, Theo. I love agatized wood, but that coral is just to die for. That big blue agate at the end is gorgeous! I agree--thank you Mary for allowing us to find fossils and beautiful rocks on your place.

Thank you Mary! Wow! What an awesome day! So many super cool finds! The quality of the rocks, is so phenomenal, compared to your usual Yellowstone trips! The banding and fortifications are unreal! You almost never find those kinds of agates in the Yellowstone anymore! But my favorite was the syringopora fossil. What a cool specimen piece! It's just perfect! And I can't pick a favorite out of the rocks! They were all just amazing! Thank you again Mary and Theo, for letting us in on this one! It was just awesome!

I have found so many fossils in Monarch! One day, when I return, I will find some agates! The only one I found was a Madison blue agate and USPS LOST IT WHEN IT WAS SHIPPED!!!!!
