Mark Morrisseau is on the violin and he has his own band. He and his band are awesome. He sometimes plays at the Legion where we go dancing. Very talented.

a solid performance, Ive known a few like this Daddy on whiskey. They are all gone now. But I have to say, that fiddle is pure gold. Cant remember where I have heard a better sound from a fiddle, the kid is great. For sure Im going to find more of Bernie's videos on here

My mother and gramma both use to sing this to me and my siblings. Dad was dead and had been an alcoholic. Grampa was alive at the time and was a violent alcoholic who went completely insane when he drank.
The fucking war made him drink heavily. And dad? Shot himself in his fucking shitty head when we were all young, leaving us nothing.
There were 23 kids on my mom's side and she raised six of us on her own, two died young. We were poor and had little yet my gramma and some of grampa's kids often had to stay with us because he would kick the shit out of her and his boys so badly sometimes we could barely recognize them sometimes.
Me and my siblings all ended up alcoholics and drug addicts before we were 15 years old and will forever carry the scars of a life poorly lived. I'm rehabilitated yet the memories will haint me forever.
I still cry when I hear this.
