Something I imagine is Sonic suddenly boosting during the spindash in Mario's hands, knocking them back, at which point the momentum of the boost carries him straight through Mario's torso, cutting him in half. Maybe he'd zip around and cut him into more pieces, or homing attack him into the water and jump off a spring-shaped explosion. (Note that I'm not asking you to animate the majority of this, just thought that the lack of an on-screen K.O. was underwhelming. Still better than the channels that make a black screen after an attack with the alternate loser screaming and leave it at that lol.) Also, Sonic getting Mario's cap was a nice touch lol

1:22 tbh death battle was drunk when they made this scene since mario shadow clones take 1 hit to defeat if its like bowser or smth but mario shadow clones do indeed defeat small lvl threats like goomba's but sonic is not a small lvl threat hes really impressive and has insane feats like mario so im pretty sure this scene was just to make sonic.look bad

Mario’s star should have ran out way before hyper sonic on average it only lasts about 10-15 seconds hyper sonic no extra rings would last 50 seconds
