    Hey man, do you know if this motherboard support Bios Flashback ?

    • @jackalldiytech
      @jackalldiytech 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, thanks for the question. I didn't mention it but the board does have bios flashback. If you look at the user manual you will see that you have to press the bios flashback button, which is on the back of the IO, for 3 seconds to enable it. Do note that there is only 1 USB slot that supports the bios flashback. I suggest you go to the Asus website and search for the product manual for detailed information.

    • @jackalldiytech
      @jackalldiytech 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have my GPU core set to 1900MHz at 0.9mV with +700MHz memory using MSI Afterburner. And in Heaven benchmark it goes to 82C and 102C hotspot, which is a lot. To have a more meaningful comparison I can do a test using the settings you have. Be it stock or let me know what you have set for core, voltage and memory, if you have also used MSI Afterburner. Also I have limited the fans to 70% speed at 80C. On a side note, the service center replaced the whole heatsink? Or did they apply the original pads and paste?

    • @AnKPDte
      @AnKPDte 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jackalldiytech Overclocking and temperature are irrelevant, because the power is limited to 200W. The entire heat sink with thermal pads was replaced at the service center. It's problematic to go over 100 degrees hotspot.

    • @jackalldiytech
      @jackalldiytech 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well in case of MSI afterburner it is more of a min/max performance based on what you want. If you want lower power consumption and lower temperatures, you will set a core clock at a specific Volt instead of using the default curve. Adjusting the VRAM memory also affects performance and temperature, the fan speed also plays a role and last but not least the PC case and the airflow inside of it. So with a core clock undervolt to 0.9mV, memory clocks set to default and fans speed set to 100%, inside a Jonsbo C6 case, I had temperatures 77C and 99C hotspot runing the heaven benchmark. It's not a major improvement but some settings do impact the temperatures, undervolting being the biggest one.

    UPSIREN 21w 0.75mm 1.25mm has failed It should be used with a low thermal pad hardness. If the thermal pad hardness is higher than the original, I think it is better to use 0.75mm 1.25mm if the 0.5mm 1.0mm hardness is lower.

    • @jackalldiytech
      @jackalldiytech 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well that's a bummer. Do you happen to know how long they lasted? I'm asking because I just replaced the botched diy pads with the upsiren ones and the haven benchmark results were the same - meaning I did an excellent job before, or the upsiren pads of 0.75 and 1.25 are no good for this GPU.

      Yes, this is the GPU. From what I remember my GPU was always a bit hot. But I did not see any difference after installing the pads, granted they are just a day old so not much could have happened to them.

      @optimuslead06 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there! Most thermal pads are built using silicone which is super soft and compresses easily, at the place of 0.75mm pads you can use a 1mm thermal pad which has high conductivity around 12 wmk or so, it'll compress and become around 0.75mm.

    • @AnKPDte
      @AnKPDte 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I tried testing again today but failed. The upsiren 21w 0.75mm thermal pads is shoreC 50~65 = Shore00 100+ , so it hardens when compressed to a certain extent. So it doesn't compress anymore.

    Hi friend from another continent, I just bought it and now I have it in my hands, the truth is that it is quite good, good image, sharp, do you have any recommendations? I lowered the brightness to 80% In my country for the same price there was also the MSI PRO MP243XW, but there was not much difference, and everyone I asked recommended LG, so I went for this one, plus your video was quite good. I am quite happy with this monitor, although I will have to get used to the size, since I use it on a 14-inch notebook and the change is gigantic xD

    • @jackalldiytech
      @jackalldiytech 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Javier. I can only imagine what a big difference in size it is. As for my recommendation, it would have to be the colour accuracy. The cheapest way to adjust a monitor is to take a piece of white paper and put it over/besides the panel, then lower the R,G,B values until it is close to the paper white. Also, only lower the RGB values by a few points, as that will give you the best result.

      I did not try it. A 20% overclock seems a lot to me, especially for an IPS panel. And even if it somehow worked for me there would be no guarantee that it would work for you, since every panel is different. Even if the overclock was a success, it could come at the cost of the monitor skipping frames. Lastly, there is no telling what will happen to the components inside the monitor that would be working outside of their specs (overheating, faster degradation, immediate failure come to mind).

      Hey, thanks for the question. This monitor only has 1 HDMI port, so as it is you could only connect 1 device at a time (switching cables). You can however avoid that by getting an HDMI 2 in 1 switcher. Since the cheapest HDMI switch costs like $6-12 you could also look into monitors with 2 HDMI ports. Since you mentioned ps5, you will probably want a monitor with more than 120hz if you want 120fps, otherwise you will be limited to 60fps on the ps5. You can look at my last 2 videos for cheap 24 and 27 inch monitors with 144Hz or more, the cheapest one being $100 on Amazon US (ktc h24t09p).

      I am aware that the economy is different in every country and sadly countries, like Brazil, get hit harder due to low income. There is inflation, which makes everything even more expensive. And then there is also the import tax that some countries have extremely high. So for humans that want a different lifestyle a change must be made, in this case a higher paying job and/or relocation to another country. However, you could also find something that you like doing and is in demand, sell your products/services, and also make videos on TH-cam to show how something is done and promote your business.

And the "end game" would be a 27" monitor with 2560x1440px resolution at 144Hz or more. Which you can already buy new for less than $200 (I just released a TOP 5 video), but for that kind of a monitor you also need a good GPU if you want to play games at max resolution and 144+ fps.

      Hm... The only G variant I can find is in India, so I guess that's region specific and the name is G0. If that's the case that monitor was released sometime in 2024 and supposedly it can be overclocked to 120Hz. Also Acer has a 3 Year warranty for this monitor. Hey, of course you can use it with a console. However, if your plan is to play games at 120fps, then you'll need a monitor/tv that has at least 120Hz. In this case even though the monitor supports 100Hz, you would be able to play games on consoles only at 60fps and not 100fps, as that is not supported by consoles as far as I am aware.

      I'm happy with them even though I have a standard fan configuration. I'll do some fan mods when I can. I did not set fan speeds over 70% so it's not too loud. I think GPU hotspot goes to 95c and normal temp is 15-20c lower than that, CPU I think doesn't go over 80c. I admit I didn't pay much attention to it yet, but if you skim over some of the gaming benchmarks I posted then you will see the temps with the default number of fans one can use. Edit: Looking at Ghost of Tsushima at very high preset at 1080p, CPu temp 66°C (52W) and GPU 75°C and gpu hotspot 93°C (138W). If you'd like to know anything else let me know!

HOWEVER, there is a day and night difference if you use the audio from the monitor or if you use audio from your motherboard (the motherboard sounds a lot better). To put it in perspective, the monitor audio sounds flat but it'll work if you need it as an emergency. But I would not use the monitor audio long term.

Depending on what you would like to do, just connect some ARGB fans or also control them with software. If it's the former, then you can use a sata to 3pin 5V ARGB adapter (it has some built in lighting presets), if it's the latter then you can use an ARGB hub that comes with included software.

      Thank you for valuable information, I will certainly look into those products for future fixes. I have applied undervolt and the card is running, can be too hot depending on which fancy setting I use in games. I'll feel better once I receive the correct pads. The only thing that is strange on this card is that one standoff for one screw got unscrewed and I over-tightened it, as it dug into the PCB a bit - so I'm also waiting on thread locking glue to fix that problem.
