- We took charlotte the burnout truck to Tucson Arizona for some burnouts in the Vice Grip Garage burnout pit, along with Easy T, the Buick regal T Type to run down the track!

I always knew Derek was a showman with his own distinctive style. I was not prepared for the kind of showman he has really become! He had the crowd when he stepped out of Charlotte and dejectedly said "....digicals...."
But then he emceed the burn out competition with ease, like he has been doing this all his life. This was a great show!
It wouldn't be a VGG pit if something didn't break. But even more VGG to get it rolling again and still put on a show by the end!
From building a Chevelle in his plain garage to being the MC at a burnout competition and being in commercials for o'reilly. Air high fives Derek! Also, the entire exhaust system on that truck was cherry red at the end. Gave me goosebumps 😜

I disagree! The exposure from the MT series is great (and the extra income too, I presume), but those rescue episodes are so heavily edited that there's no sense of the time and effort they required -- and the physical and mental toll on Derek and friends is plain to see. I really don't like that series. His self-produced TH-cam work is FAR better in my opinion.

Also junkerup,Chris birdsong he was the guy in the ratty 71 charger.He is incredibly skilled in body work and is the guy that rebuilt the body on general mayhem.And he owns a general lee and about 20 other 68,69,70 chargers.
I see alot of stuff on YT that's better than the big TV and Hollywood stuff

I love how Derek went from fixing up old sleds in his garage in Minnesota to obliterating tires with Freiburger and Dulcich, all in the span of about a year.

I made it out with two cars. This was my first time at Duct Tape Drags!! Will definitely be going again!!! I couldn’t believe how many of my favorite TH-cam channel people were there and hanging out at the bonfire!!! Super cool!!
I had to save my wife’s mini van today replacing the hard to get to alternator on a sketchy street I am unfamiliar with and I said “Well HELP ME UNDERSTAND” like 5 times. Just thought you should know 😂

I had a turbo t type Buick regal that ran 14.28 in the 1/4 off the brake pedal on radial tires with a tiny burn out.
14.28 108 mph if u catch the boost climbing perfect off the brake pedal u can time a decent launch and tickle around 13.85 - to 14.00 dial in and they run consistent my t type won the slow bracket race about 5 different times.
This channel is such a good pocket of the internet

Born and raised in Tucson, raced a 69 GTO at the old Tucson Dragway in 1980-82. Good times!
Burn outs have not been good for true car culture.
Call me a stick in the mud but I just don't get the burn out pit thing. So you make a car that can burn the tires off (not that hard) and then take it out there and spin donuts around with it. How much talent does it take to do that? Drag racing is great, takes driving skill and mechanical skill to build a car that will go fast in the 1/4 mile. If you could strap a monkey in the seat of a burn out car and show him where the go fast pedal is, I'm sure he would figure out the rest. Just not my cup of tea.
To be fair burning out the tires while spinning around in a Dodge Viper while maintaining control and not smacking up against a wall does sound like it would take some skill.
I could have watched two hours of this easy!!! Lucky had me cracking up, and birdsongs car was EPIC! As usual charlotte put in work and finished the night off strong, such a cool video!
I'm not gonna lie if a fellar lived closer to me I'd have to offer to paint Charlotte up with a spiffy patriotic theme or something. She needs some show with the go.

I've owned 6 Turbo Regal's. I've been mid 13's bone stock with a tire. And 12.50's@109 with a race chip, 160 degree thermostat, fuel pump hotwire kit and adjustable wastegate actuator in a full weight WE4.
And went 11.70's in a full weight turbo t limited, 140,000 miles, with the above recipe, added fuel pump, Precision pt 51 turbo, 50lb injectors, 3" downpipe. Stock motor, ( valve springs only)
