I'm honestly afraid that the Prequal story will demystify Samantha. I honestly find her more interesting when you don't know how or why she became a killer. Sam saying she kills to quenche the voices in her head is all the information the reader needs to know.
I agree, I'm sure they could still tell more stories without giving her a "reason" to become a killer. After all, true serial killers aren't really made, they are born. While psychopaths and sociopaths don't always become killers, it's not something that a backstory can justify either. Hopefully Patrick continues to artfully walk the line and just provide us more stories with Sam without trying to over explain why she is how she is.
I am VERY, VERY, new to seriously reading comics. But I really liked this. It does have a lot reminding of Dexter HOWEVER, Sam is very different from Dex, and while it’s a small morale change, it still makes a good story
Masterpiece? I don’t think so. It was okay. It honestly felt rushed & unoriginal. I enjoyed some of it but it really isn’t that good. 4/10 at most. The art is 9/10 though

I can get on board with that. Mystery does play a large role in making a character interesting.
I think it will show her killing all over the world before she decides to come
Back to her small town.

I’m glad I could make some suggestions for you! I think it’s awesome you’re getting into reading comics. It’s been a lifelong love of mine!
I loved beneath the trees and the prequel... I hope Patrick continues with Sam's story.
I hope so too. Although, I wonder what they could do to make it interesting still without retreading the same narrative territory.
First and this is convenient cause i was just thinking about Sam's past and putting together a theory on why she is the way she is today.
Yeah, it is definitely perfect timing. I’m excited to read it!
This feels ripe for adult swim or hulu as a great adult animation series
I was thinking the same thing!
Read it all the other day and it's such a brilliant and chilling piece of horror!! A unique flavor of cute meeting creepy
Very true! I was caught off guard in the best ways while reading this.
Do you have any recommendations for similar comics while we wait for the prequel? :)
Well, you might have figured out the topic of my next video… 🤫🤫🤫
I can’t wait !
You got that right!
battle royale with Sam vs Flippy from Happy Tree Friends vs Azulin from Unicorn Wars when?
Well, I hadn’t thought of that, but it would certainly be nuts!
Is this the PBF artist?!
PBF?

I would have to agree, but fair enough. Thanks for checking out my video!
