Very astute! I think that’s why Sam is so relatable because we all have what you explained in your comment. I remember seeing that episode of the Twilight Zone, but I need to go back and watch it to make the connections with this.

Iv read 4 issues of feral already the last one left on a cliffhanger. I’m excited for the next one to come out at the end of August.

@@ComicDropsI’m honestly not going to read any of the new content for a while. X-O is my fav hero in the Valiant universe. I can always revisit the older storylines by Venditti if I need to. Valiant has a small fanbase, if they keep doing this they’ll lose that too.

@@SirOnyxVoiceoverproductions You’re certainly right. I love Valiant, but I hate to see these characters mistreated. XO is their flagship character, and them messing up the conclusion to this series like this is frustrating for sure.

It’s never addressed in the series. The wild bear seems to be symbolic for Sam’s animalistic nature.

I can get on board with that. Mystery does play a large role in making a character interesting.

I think it will show her killing all over the world before she decides to come Back to her small town.

I agree, I'm sure they could still tell more stories without giving her a "reason" to become a killer. After all, true serial killers aren't really made, they are born. While psychopaths and sociopaths don't always become killers, it's not something that a backstory can justify either. Hopefully Patrick continues to artfully walk the line and just provide us more stories with Sam without trying to over explain why she is how she is.

I think that’s an interesting idea. I think an anthology series about Sam’s victims in the city would be interesting also.

@@ComicDrops I’d find the notion of someone related to one of Sam’s victims, having become a serial killer/obssessed with hunting for who killed their loved one, seeing Sam in the news or in the paper and getting suspicious would be interesting grounds to explore the consequences of what Sam has done and exploring more of her past kills over the last 40 years
