Hey, Mein Foodies!
Karachi is such a big diverse city - I'm always impressed! There's a colony here, near Jamshed Road, where people from Hyderabad Deccan India settled at the time of Partition 1947. It's called Hyderabad Colony and the neighbourhood is full of their culture and foods. I visited it for the first time in 2021! There I had a delicious and authentic Hyderabadi "Kachay Gosht ki Biryani" which is not the common way #Biryani is made in Karachi. The taste was perfect and serving size was value for money. I also tried "Ojari" which is a delicacy around the world in case you didn't know 😋 Tasted great! You must visit Hyderabad Colony and try the food - worth the effort once in a lifetime! 😎

This man is very old his chakna aka Ojri is very famous and the Harees of Chatkharey house is one of the remarkable dish. I personally know this place from 20 years as My grandfather's family first lived there in the Jamshed quarters.

@@mein_foodienope some people would speak telugu just as a second language but most of the Muslims of Hyderabad even today speak Urdu only and their literature is heavily influenced by Persian that doesn’t mean Telugu didn’t had importance as Nizams themselves were poets in Persian, Urdu and Telugu languages so, they took care of everyone pretty well but their mother tongue was Urdu heavily influenced by Persian (which we call as Hyderabadi Urdu accent). Like for instance they speak thick urdu but some words like “nakko” (means no with Persian word “nakkun”) or “mouz” (mean banana came directly from Persian ) have been directly taken from Persian. It was the richest state in Indian after Indian government looted and destroyed it their culture is hardly survived due to modern day Hyderabad but remaining Hyderabadis have spread all across the world. May lord grant Nizam the highest rank in paradise a great King and no Indian political leader can ever match his caliber and wisdom ever.
