Two years ago, I lost my first kitten a few days before she turned 1. I loved that animal with all my heart, so I buried her in my garden. A few months after, mint started growing over her grave, it's now a small bush. But winter is here, and the cold is bound to kill it, so I transplanted a few sprouts to keep with me, until more mint grows back in spring. I also tried to save a stray that was ran over a few months back. As soon as I saw him being run over, I stopped my truck, rushed through traffic and threw myself over it. Then when it was safe, I put it in my truck and rushed to an emergency vet... He was dead when we arrived. I figured he never had a home and since I could no longer give him one in life, I could at least give his body a nice place to rest. So, he's also part of my garden now, he will always have a home here. I just hope, in time, something nice will also grow over his grave.
I foster kittens, haven’t in a while though (you’ll see why). Our first foster litter of kittens with a mama kitty was about two years ago, I think there were five kittens, and of the mom. There was a black kitten, the only black one, named Cygnus. All of the kittens were named after stars, I don’t remember the other names as clearly though as Cygnus’ name. We got them when the kittens were two weeks old, so very young and havent developed personalities yet. Over time Cygnus was the quiet, chill one- and all he wanted to do was sit or be in a lap. He never played, which I now realize was a big red sign. When they were about a month old, he just.. wasn’t himself. Only sat or laid down, and his poop was abnormal and liquid (not even brown- it was a white color). We finally took him in and was told he was sick (I don’t remember what exactly, or if they *did* say he was sick, I just don’t remember). We gave him medicine for about a couple days before he died. I was the one who found him dead, and the last one to see him alive. I think he was just a bad kitten- I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way of course, but sometimes kittens (and babies and baby animals) just die.. it’s a sad thing you have to accept when taking care of kittens. He’s buried in our yard, and I know plant life is over him. Also, the last time I fostered kittens (and why I haven’t fostered in a bit, besides being busy) was because I lost all of the foster kittens I was taking care of. In May this year, my mom and I took three ONE DAY OLD kittens (with no mama kitty). Since my mom was very busy, I was the sole caretaker for them. Fed them at the right times, slept outside of my room so I could sleep next to them so I’d be more alert, and gave them warmth. The next day, one of them wasn’t okay. It’s a hard thing to describe, but I could just *feel* her dying in my hand. When my mom took her to the emergency vet clinic, she was already dead. Later that day, around evening, another kitten died. Like, I was sitting next to them, didn’t know she passed, and when I look over to check she was just gone. I can’t tell you how much emotion I was going through, and I have such a soft spot for cats, so I was just an emotional wreck through the first kitten and second kitten. The second kitten for me was worse, since the first one was a slow death, yet this one was so quick I didn’t have time to process. At that point- there was only one kitten left. So that night (keep in mind, when you bottle feed kittens, you feed them every 2-3 hours, so I woke up every couple hours), I was very cautious and just loving on her. I was so scared to lose her. I fed her about 5:30 am, and tucked her back into the box we had for them, and fell asleep. When I woke up at 7 ish, just naturally without my alarm clock so idk if I sensed it, but when I checked her, she was gone. I didn’t cry as much like for the other two kittens, but I felt the same pain in my chest (probably had no tears left lol). So within not even two days of having these day old kittens, I lost all three. I was already dealing with a TH-camr’s death (rip Steve Cash) who I loved, and my own cooping with quarantine, so this was just not a good experience. At the same time, I’m very glad I took care of them, because within that short time my mom and I gave attention and love to the kittens before they passed. We didn’t bury them out in the yard like Cygnus, because we had to take the bodies to the clinic (don’t remember why). Haven’t fostered since, but still have it planned in the future one day. Didn’t mean for these to be long- but this is kind of therapy for me xD especially for the three kittens who passed so soon after getting them. I’m good now of course, but still grieve at times.

@@mickeynomouse8251 yes. It was a home brew game, and this was a side quest. This rich, eccentric old man hired my friends team to go retrieve this rare plant to help heal his granddaughter (only family he had left). So they get to the garden that had the plant in it was a golem who was made to tend and guard the garden. It led my friends team to the plant. They had to stay there for a while due to extreme weather, and the team started to bond the golem. Then religions nut jobs showed up. Fighting soon broke out. Long story short a butterfly flew into the garden then the cultists started trying to kill it. The golem got between it and them. The team won and barrier the golem. Sorry I'm not good at telling third hand stories.
@@sammarino7357 thanks. My friend does short stories and fun essays for a living as a ghost writer and online short story forums. Their stuff is AMAZING.
This story, for some reason, didn’t make me cry, as I knew the outcome the moment the child came back over and over. It’s the cycle of life and we must accept that we’re not going to be here forever. Sadly, our golem buddy will never truly pass on and be with it’s friend. Guess that’s why everyone’s all down now. It’s ok, he’s a family friend of the girl, and will be there for her family for generations to come.
A song/lullaby for life or DnD, yours to change or alter, if only by my name you will recall for as long as you'd like. (~M.C. Billy; Billy M. Lockwood. 2020) • A bed of flowers, planted oh so long ago, in a time before my own. An earthen golem, forgetting time, idly watching all the while. An endless cycle, forever and always, the Summer ends, and life begins. Time of sorrow and rain, the Fall is warm, ripe with age. The time of ends lasts long, the Winter is cold, the time of death, but high hopes. The time of birth, life is anew, the Spring is chill and crisp, silently starts again. And still the earthen golem sits, waiting for the end, it watches and waits, waits for everything- as it too will expire eventually. • You see, life isn't just about life and death, but about the things you do- the people you meet, and the places you go, and to enjoy those such things is a pleasure we get once. As we grow, so too does time, it is forever, and it is never, hand-in-hand. The earthen golem nods with us as we breathe, and nods with us when we sleep. The earthen golem nods with us when we weep, and nods with us when we leave. • We are all part of the earthen golem and it's garden.
Not gonna lie, was fully expecting it to end with something like "And that's the journal the party found after slaying the "monster" of the garden". my pc, as well as me irl, would be crying.
Wow. I remember when this was about a stone golem years ago. And whoever borrowed the story didn't even bother to edit their dialogue properly to make it consistent with now being a clay golem. I get that great DMs borrow all the time, but don't be lazy about it.

Great take on an immortal creation trying to understand mortality and it's purpose, I found it pretty relevant considering my personal loss nearly two years ago. I guess you could say that while it hurts watching it , it still gives one hope and purpose.

This is the essence of immortality. It is sitting idly by as the years march on, and watching as everyone and everything you will ever love is taken from you. Immortality is a curse.
I've always enjoyed these videos, but this one is the one that finally made me give in and subscribe. I love the work you do and the stories you find out in there in the web. Please, keep doing this for as long as you love it, you've got a great talent for reading and I'm sure you're just as amazing at story building as well.
I knew what was gonna happen once a little girl showed up and it still got me. But it was still so warm hearted and deep. Moral of the story nothing ever really dies?
Maybe it’s just because I’m older now, but this didn’t feel sad. It felt heartwarming knowing that the girl had a good long life with a loving family in a nice village and got buried in the garden she loved. If only everyone could have a nice long peaceful life like that! The golem is also having a good life, so I don’t see any reason to be sad.

@@erikagehm2805 that was pretty good telling though
@@sammarino7357 thanks. My friend does short stories and fun essays for a living as a ghost writer and online short story forums. Their stuff is AMAZING.
Me when watching Oogie: I’m not crying! I just got sand in my eyes
Me watches this: I GOT MORE SAND!
This is silly, but strangely serene, love it
This story, for some reason, didn’t make me cry, as I knew the outcome the moment the child came back over and over.
So as usual, sniffling and wiping my eyes. This is a beautiful story. Whoever wrote this is awesome.
THAT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STORY EVER!!! I can't wait to add somehting like it to my dnd sesh
Its not the same kind of sadness as Ooghie's or Onixya's story's. It is more a peaceful tale of happiness and innocence
This is esentially if the iron giant become a even more wholesome gardener
I used this in my d and d section as a book one of my friends found and told her to watch this she now treasures it warns me never to damage it
I’m not crying I’m just watering the garden!
I kept from crying up until the funeral came. Then i shed a tear.
Neckberdia did this one, it's how I first heard of it. However this is neat too to hear it not in TEXT2SPCH
This is esentially if the iron giant became a even more wholesome gardener
A song/lullaby for life or DnD, yours to change or alter, if only by my name you will recall for as long as you'd like.

A bed of flowers, planted oh so long ago, in a time before my own.
•
You see, life isn't just about life and death, but about the things you do- the people you meet, and the places you go, and to enjoy those such things is a pleasure we get once.
As we grow, so too does time, it is forever, and it is never, hand-in-hand.
The earthen golem nods with us as we breathe, and nods with us when we sleep. The earthen golem nods with us when we weep, and nods with us when we leave.

We are all part of the earthen golem and it's garden.
This made me get pain in the feels, but Imma turn it into a tragic boss fight
This is bastion it's literally just bastion from OverWatch
minus the gun
I'm happy to hear this story again. I am not sure were I heard this story however it's weird.
I have been living for over 200 years, and a large Dragonborn and has been through many battles, and yet... I fail an emotion save...
Not gonna lie, was fully expecting it to end with something like "And that's the journal the party found after slaying the "monster" of the garden". my pc, as well as me irl, would be crying.
Golem 6b is a character I'll never forget. You know it's raining on my face to.. either that or I have allergies to sad stories. 🙃😞😢
he holds a place in my heart beside Brass Dragon Barnaby.
Wow. I remember when this was about a stone golem years ago. And whoever borrowed the story didn't even bother to edit their dialogue properly to make it consistent with now being a clay golem. I get that great DMs borrow all the time, but don't be lazy about it.
It's not raining on my face, I'm just crying.
Wow, such beauty in this, I don't cry but was intrigued till the end. This is a Masterpiece well written, bravo.
I think I cried more with oogie good crafty Smith.
This was a good one indeed, I enjoyed it but it didn't exactly bring me to tears like oogie did.
D-Did someone actually role play a more passive version of Aindroid 16? That's adorable.
Notes from a NG Human idiot;
Greetings from lovely Restenford(I forgot to bring a waterskin with me when i went Walking, but i'm ok otherwise.....)!
This was a very sweet story to hear of the friendship between a gentle golem and a child, so i thank you for sharing this my friend. Please forgive the water tracks upon this note, as it appears i have sprung a leak in my home....
May your pantheon ever favor you(especially in these trying times),
Baron Trevelyan of Restenford
That was a really warm and sad story
Great take on an immortal creation trying to understand mortality and it's purpose, I found it pretty relevant considering my personal loss nearly two years ago. I guess you could say that while it hurts watching it , it still gives one hope and purpose.
Hah, you fools! This story didn't even make my hearth itch!! *cough, because I made a comment before watching* , BUT THOSE ARE JUST MINOR DETAILS
(hail astoshan and self like mode on
Пламен Петров hail astoshan)
"I think the cold came for the girl", Nothing has ever broken me like this.
I was somehow holding myself together, but as he said this, man I broke down.
This is the essence of immortality. It is sitting idly by as the years march on, and watching as everyone and everything you will ever love is taken from you. Immortality is a curse.
I remember this story, it's just so heartwarmingly wholesome I can't help but cry.
It’s like oohgie all over again these gentle giants make my heart melt and hurt all at the same time 😭😭😭
You know I am surprised the villagers did not recruit him to help with farming.
My body is ready to absorb the sadness.
I was not ready, I am leaking.
He's a druid droid!

This story feels familiar somehow. And I mean beyond the fact Golem 6B reminds me of that one still operational construct in Laputa.
No one:
Golem 6 b : sees good in everyone
I've always enjoyed these videos, but this one is the one that finally made me give in and subscribe. I love the work you do and the stories you find out in there in the web. Please, keep doing this for as long as you love it, you've got a great talent for reading and I'm sure you're just as amazing at story building as well.
Golem is wholesome and cares for everything. I like Golem.
That was another beautiful and moving tale ,well done .
I'm not crying I swear, I'm just watering the garden.
I have a soft spot for robots and stuff. I def teared up a little
A true friend and is a caring individual that understands nature
I was not prepared for this!!!!!take it back!!!!!!
I think my roof is leaking and it made my nose run... Yep.. **Continues to cry while blowing nose**
Damn you and your incredible narration making me cry.
I knew what was gonna happen once a little girl showed up and it still got me. But it was still so warm hearted and deep. Moral of the story nothing ever really dies?
I'm not crying, you're crying!😭
No, we are watering the garden
It's a terrible day for rain. ;w;
I love these types of D&D stories so much
This is so wholesome I like story’s like this
Thank you this nearly brought me to tears
Maybe it’s just because I’m older now, but this didn’t feel sad. It felt heartwarming knowing that the girl had a good long life with a loving family in a nice village and got buried in the garden she loved. If only everyone could have a nice long peaceful life like that! The golem is also having a good life, so I don’t see any reason to be sad.
SO BEAUTIFUL
Such an amazing cute story! Like a softer version of Astoshan (still my favorite story so far!)
:( the golem is finally accepted by everybody but he loses his best friend in the process.
I'm not crying. It's just incredibly rainy on this sunny day.
I'm not crying, it's just these damnable imps you summoned cutting onions just out of my line of sight.
