8:08 Minigame Star is actually based off of the number of Wins, not coins earned from mini games. Coin Star was also changed as it is now the amount of coins earned total, not the highest amount at any given time.
@@bobbyblue4608 Yeah that's really frustrating. I've had I think 2 games where someone won the minigame star while having gotten significantly fewer coins from minigames than another person. It's a really, really silly decision.
Personally I get why they made these changes. Minigame star mean you actually have to put up a fight with your skill all around now instead of how a tide can easily turn due to a battle minigame. Mini-game star is determined by number of 1st places, not coins. Coins is determined by coins earned rather than most coins held at any point. Happening is happening. Threw a Mario Party game for a loop when the people expected to get stars didn't. Also the results screen doesn't track the 1st places which is sad.
That round of Coney Island reminded me of when Stephen and Mal played it during their Horror Land playthrough. It's hard to tell if that last minigame mattered, cause coins won from battles are still documented, and the minigame star was now changed to only account for getting 1st place the most, so 1 person wouldn't, say, lose all minigames only to win the minigame star anyway because they won a 200 coin battle game at one point. I suppose one can go back and double check though. Either way, I'm happy for Josh winning!
