Kate Martin is my second favorite player after Caitlin Clark and I am not alone when I say the Indiana Fever should have used their second pick to get Katey. If there is a possibility of trading her the first call SHOULD be to the Indiana Fever as they have a worthy bench from which to negotiate a trade...preferably before the regular season. This would also serve to make Caitlin Clark feel more comfortable playing and living outside of her home base in Iowa...a win/win.
I think you take Martin if you want versatility off the bench. She can play 3 positions, she's more physical and she's 6'0". Also a great leader, great in the locker room. TBH I don't know much about Fair in that regard. I know she's a great scorer. I wouldn't doubt that she was the leader on her Syracuse team.
Martin is my favorite player on Iowa. Faire is a spark plug or difference maker. Martin will need more time but is a difference maker. I think they both get in and Znot let when Parker hangs them up. You MUST find room and I think Sid gets cut from the team

Kate knows everything about her best friend Catlin. They should keep her. But I want Kate with Indiana with her best friend. They bring out the best in each other ! So whichever gets Kate back with Catlin! !!!

Then I figured for sure they would I don't know a lot about the drafting process but I don't understand why Aces and others got to pick more than Fever. I think the popularity helps and unfortunately, some of the other big names like Mackenzie Holmes and Liz Kitley aren't 100%. I would love to see Kate land a permanent spot, but I know Dyaisha Fair has worked really hard and also deserves it too. I'd love to see Kate go to Fever with Caitlin, but I think it's good for them to go their own way and be uncomfortable and forced to adapt to being in the pros. If they ended up as teammates down the road, that would be incredible.

Oh man... I hate that it's likely going to come down to this. I'm a huge Hawkeyes fan, so I'm definitely pulling for Martin. She has worked so hard and been an excellent teammate and clutch supportive player to our superstar. She's used to playing in front of sold out crowds, like the Aces have and her experience in winning the Big Ten Tournament several times and going so far in the NCAA tournament twice, she has that under her belt. I do like Dyaisha Fair though and think she doesn't get enough credit. The fact that she's on the all time scoring list speaks for itself. Fair and Martin are both grad students. So lots of experience. I would be happy for either of them. As far as Kitley goes, I think she's super good and breaks my heart she got injured and couldn't play out her college career and won't have the opportunity to play right away in the WNBA. Had she not gotten injured, she would have been a first round draft pick 100%.

I would think the greater challenge is for Martin to make the team, rather than Fair. If Fair is as good as she showed this season, in particular, there is a history of height-challenged jitterbugs making their teams. Crystal Dangerfield not only proved this theory, but she was an awarded rookie and has continued to shine. If there is one current Aces player who is a possibility to be let go, I think it would be Sydney Colson.

Playing with the Aces and their superstar, Wilson, means that Martin would have a better shot than Clark to win a championship. You can’t make this stuff up. I like Martin. She’s solid.

The WNBA desperately need household names, recognizable faces people will watch and root for. Kate is new generation, new blood, and part of the Caitlin Clark saga. They want her in the league.
