- Thanks to everyone that requested to "meet" Gunnar. We finally had a chance to sit down and record this video. Because we talked for almost an hour, I cut the video up into two parts.

Gunnar is such a soft spoken person. I feel like if he was my psychologic I would find him very trusting.

Oh my god! You two are ridiculously cute together! Gunnar, it’s so nice to meet you! Thank you for indulging all of us out here in TH-cam land. It was very interesting to hear about your life growing up, and both of your answers to the fun questions. I think the only thing I imagined a little differently is Gunnar’s mannerism. I wasn’t expecting Gunnar to be quite so reserved and mild-mannered because Jewells is so bubbly! But, maybe that’s because he was a bit nervous...? I can tell your personalities really compliment each other, and I can definitely see how you balance each other out. I laughed so hard about the crunching thing! I also love to crunch chips, carrots, etc. Even if I’m trying to eat crunchy things quietly, I’m just not! My husband and I have been married for 26 years... it still kind of bugs him so I just make it a point to try not to do it around him. 🤣 Can’t wait for part 2!
We were happy to do it. Gunnar had woken up right before we filmed, so he was a little tired still. Yea, we definitely balance each other out. LOL I am glad I am not the only one that loves to make crunching noises. Part 2 is coming up next week :-)
Jewells Chambers ahhh! So we got to see slightly groggy Gunnar! He can pop out of bed like a super hero... but it’s nice to know he’s human. 😀 Me? I have the hardest time waking up... my brain doesn’t function at 100% for a couple hours after waking up and I run into walls a lot 🤣 So, I get it. 💛
Same here! My first vid with them. I'm a newbie. With so much racial tension and silliness in the states, it's a breath of fresh air watching this very complimentary pair share their lives. Hope to see more of them both! Bet he's a great psycholoist. She can be a positive motivational speaker. So smart. God put them together! Sometimes it's good just to WAIT for the right person to come into your life!

Omg shes like my sister from another time. I married a Norwegian named Gunnar, 19 years later I'm still Norwegian. I loved Iceland to maybe next time we can take coffee. also yeah they say it is good to immediately get up in the mornings. Ty for sharing brought a smile to my day.

The purse on the floor lol so American! Mine never goes on the floor either- makes you broke (superstition but I still won’t put it on the floor).
I know that's a superstition with some Black, Latinx, and Afro-Latinx communities in the U.S. The reason I also heard is "a purse on the floor means your money's out the door," aka being broke.
Just learned the adage has Gullah-Geechee origin. Who knew? 🤷🏾♀️
I learned not to put my purse on the floor from my Taiwanese friend. Yes, it is bad luck there. She is very adamant to the point that she will pick it up if I or any of her other American friends forget. I think it is sweet.
I thought that was only a thing from the Balkans. I know it from Bosnia and didn’t take it seriously, but now as I read how widely spread this belief is around the world, I might overthink....... 😅

I love the part about Gunnar cleaning up after dinner. My husband of 51 years does the same thing.
Gunnar seems to be so soft spoken and polite. I’ve found that most of the Icelandic musicians I listen to /follow have the same tone.

I'm late to the party, just found your channel (I was in Keflavik with the USAF). Hilarious 🤣, my dad is South American and my mom is Italian. The words “quiet & calm” did not exist in our home. When friends would come over they’d be like “are your parents okay, there’s a lot of screaming and yelling?” And I’d be like “they’re fine, just deciding what to make for dinner“. 😁💕

I visited relatives in the 70's in Kopavogur. And I remember having such great rapport with an Aunty Stella. My relatives had come to Canada in the 1800's. Just wondered if Gunnar could be a long lost relative. I came with my Ama named Oddny Sigurdson. This is just a shot in the dark and reconnecting to my roots.

Always loved the name Gunnar but now hearing it with the Icelandic accent, even more. In English it is broken up in two syllables, between the two Ns and in Icelandic, it is split after the Ns, and rolled R. Love u guys as a couple! Did u notice your facial structure is similar. Both with broad faces and flat straight foreheads.
