Today we start with an absolute classic, King's Fall.

The Raid Mastery series is a passion project I have been eager to make for quite some time, and I'm glad that it's finally underway. In each of these videos you will find tons of useful and up-to-date knowledge you can apply to your clears of the raid in question, ranging from simple things to full on skips and speedrun tech. The goal is to deliver high level speedrun tech and condense into a form suitable for LFG that anyone can easily learn and pickup, as I think the experience is a lot more enriching and fun when done optimally. Today we start with King's Fall, one of the oldest raids in the franchise which received a healthy reprise from Destiny 1 in 2022. Destiny 2 King's Fall remained mostly the same as its Destiny 1 predecessor but iterated on it in several quality ways, such as making Oryx an actual damageable boss. For oryx's final stand. If you're with a Sherpa group or a group that is doing terrible dmg or everyone's is out of ammo or something like that DO NOT detonate both bombs at the same time. You get roughly 42 seconds of DMG when detonating at the same time and roughly a minute when detonating separately, this information has saved a few runs I have done. The extra ~20 seconds can make a difference.
If you with a half decent group though it doesn't matter at all.

Incredibly helpful. I do a lot of LFG and teaching runs thanks to a wacky schedule, so eeking out every last bit of efficiency is key for me.

Nice video, I actually learned a few things from this, like the fact that the ogres at oryx have a spawn pattern. In my 41 clears of KF I never realized that.

Couple comments all around, but most important is that for golgoroth damage, blade barrage interacts weirdly, gathering storm should be thrown at his feet not his chest cavity, and rockets are more optimal because no matter if his back is turned for any period of time, a rocket will hit for full damage anywhere on his body + they have a higher damage output than linears right now anyway.

im liking the new orb mods in the artifact it generates so much ammo if youre using rockets for dps that ive been using it to adclear, its insane, your teammates dont even need that perk only the one throwing the orbs, so they can also generate orbs and let you throw them for maximum heavy generation

while im aware of how oryx is debuffed with tractor, it would have been nice to show how the tractor user debuffs oryx for players to see since he's a long range boss

Update for fellow hunters post TFS, if you're shatterskating with a vortex frame enhanced eager edge sword, you can shatter skate to the upper platform on the left and then straight shatterskate to the final platform instead of having to do the blink shenanigans.

For golgy it's also good to have at least one sunbracers as that alone is an easy 2 phase.

This is a good series idea! Just a question for sister transition why did you only wellskate? Can hunters and titans not be able to movement tech?
Of course they can! I just didn't want to drag the section on too long is all.
I'm not sure if this is correct but I've always thought the ogres spawn at 50, 100, and 150 deathsingers power.

I would love to see similar high-end/optimized perspectives for the other raids as well.

For Golgi only run 2 warlocks on veritys. The rest runs starfire or eye of another world
Pretty sure orb timers do not tick down from 1:15 from the start. When you first pick it up, no matter how fast, it will count down from ~32 seconds. If you fail to deposit, the next invisible counter starts at 1:15 and stops at ~32 sec until you pick it up.
Master and endgame content in general imo your main “build” should be some form of utility as in heavy ammo making, special ammo making, or orb making
When u understand the game u only need said weapon and positioning to mob
You didn’t mention strats for challenges, which pretty drastically change some strats for LFGs teams in this raid

Hello! Titan here 🙂. Does flying through the first jump puzzle with a catapult and lion rampart still work? I have a problem with 3d after jump I fall down
Yes it does you just need to space your jumps a little better

It's a cool camera trick, throw your nova bomb and instantly hold your charged grenade, and you're weapons will be completely off screen!
Combine this with no hud, you have a very cinematic looking shot!

im like 70% sure detonating a single bomb in final stand is just as effective as detonating both
If you're damage is good then yeah this is fine, you just have less time before he begins the wipe animation again.

@@elliehugg i havent purposely tested but i have noticed because he attempts to wipe you 3 times and is stopped twice instead of attempts twice stopped once it is longer
How do you debuff Oryx with TC? He seems far away from the safety of the protection aura.
You can tractor his hand that grasps the side of the arena!
@@LlamaD2 Oh, that makes sense lol. Can Tractor Cannon reach his hand from the center point most teams do damage at? Or do you move the team and protective aura closer to him?

Can be, you just run out ammo faster than you would with cata + cata has way more total damage
@@LlamaD2 If comparing just a rocket vs a linear I agree, but wouldn’t the verity’s damage boost the total damage if you can get 3-5 grenades off per orb? (Assuming you keep 5 stacks of verity’s up)

100% agreed on front/back calls. You spawn at the back and the boss is at the front. If you already know where left and right are, then front and back should follow, since "Front" is in front of you and "Back" is behind you.

I have never once had anyone struggle with knowing where the back of the room is *except* on Oryx. For some reason he just melts everyone's brain. But if I'm like "oh can you get that sniper sitting way in the back of [insert any room in the game]" everyone immediately knows what I'm talking about

Yeah, in scenarios where spawn is the reference like in atheon I use far close. Oryx I would use r1, r2, l1, l2
Oryx is at the 2s side of the room and the flag is at the 1s side of the room. Problem solved.
Something I never see mentioned... Multiple people can stand in a lighteater ogre bomb. Both people will get a detonation, and the damage phase of oryx will be even longer (as if more than 4 bombs has been detonated)
Just a suggestion to try, I have a loadout for warpriest that got me tons of damage and it consists of: fire and forget, foetracer, and a silence and squall. Since foetracer got a buff that requires ability damage that includes supers.
I don't want to rain on your parade or anything, but linear fusion rifles are not very good.
They're fine, but even a basic rocket rotation combined with either blade barrage or gathering storm (since you're on hunter) would easily output double of fire and forget.
Not to mention, silence and squall is the worst damage super in the game.
@@LlamaD2 I completely understand, but as a slightly more than casual console player (being under gen so armor swaps are out of question) who really doesn’t want to put anymore brain power into doing damage and a lack of my own fireteam for farming red borders, this load out proved great.
Silence and squall was being used because I hadn’t crafted a good arc linear and silence and squall is considered a very long ability hit duration. With a well and foetracer, I was able to hit 162,000 per single ammo used on warpriest(the total was unavailable because the lfg killed him). If I had a crafted storm chaser and was able to swap from Star eater scales to foetracer relatively quickly, I would most likely have much more damage.
I do not want to argue because this is kinda your job but I’m simply presenting other options.
Hate to be a know it all but through testing, the relices have a set timer of roughly 35 seconds that begins when one is picked up. When you fail to deposit in that time frame, it then changes to what you said in the video until you succeed in dunking and then it resets back to 35 ish
