2k14s graphics were perfect for most players, but some player models like Damian Lillard's and Kyrie Ivring's looked awful.

March to May is commonly known as patch 4. In MyTeam it kinda solved "little man syndrome" it had earlier since any PG below 6'3 not named Westbrook were almost unusable (kinda like 2k18 and 19). After that guys like AI, Kyrie were top tier and Onyx GOATmeer GODson become undisputed GOAT of 2k15 MT.

I remember taking 40 ovr auto generated players on my gm and turning them into 99 ovrs.
Not only did they ruin the graphics, but they introduced the shot meter and the 'green release'.

NBA 2K10 (Kobe) and NBA 2K11 (MJ) are my all time favorite games because graphics look good, music was good, it was challenging. Those 2 games can also play on low end computers.
I just didn’t like how they changed the lighting and how players’ skin looked.

Braiden B you got bad taste. This game was ass. I could literally make every fuckin jump shot with my eyes closed. Just keep going side to side a few times n the defender will fall away and all you got to do is pull up and it’s green no matter what. Easiest 2k ever and it’s not even close.

Agree. 2k15 iš the best nba game on ps4 and xbox one. Gameplay was great. Scoring was great, if you was open you was making shots, not unlike these days nba2k. Graphics on 15 was realistic. These days they look as if they are painted lol

Also they are Masters of putting things in patch notes but not in the game like The latest uniform and shoe updates will now automatically update in your MyCAREER/MyLEAGUE/MyGM saves. (NOTE: It doesn’t work in existing Online MyLEAGUE).

My only guess is the lighting began to take a toll on the game and hardware with the gameplay improvements after 2K14. But I completely agree - even I remember the same disappointment with the graphics when I downloaded 2K15. The visual difference is pretty striking

Yep they took away the 2k14 lighting/shaders & court reflections.. it was waxing the PS4 & XB1 gpu lol.. 2k won’t admit it but they overdid it with 2k14 for the hardware at the time, had to scale back graphically for space so they could add more animations & depth to other modes.
The shooting patch did mess up the game. My career with the way they did it was great on 15. The last of the great ones.

I was on 2K15 on Xbox 360 for like 3 years but I thought the gameplay/game speed were better than when I got a Xbox1 and 2K18

I remember playing 2k15 it only had 1 round and kept on crashing
I still play 2k15 myleague in 2022. Imo it has one of the best myleague experiences of all the 2ks. It's missing a few features like summer league but the ingame gameplay is better than newer ones (except 2k16), progression isnt broken, and the generated rookies dont all look the same. In 2k16 all the generated rookies look the same and no tats and for some reason an unrealistically large portion are asian. In the more recent 2ks progression seems totally broken, after like 3 years every team is balanced and all the scrubs have progressed to 80-85 ranking. It's too bad 2k moves backwards with myleague, it's the only part of the game I play.
