What a shame! Had you taken the time to explore more of Malcolm Island, and got out of your vehicle, you would have discovered the magic of the island, including S-O-I-N-T-U-L-A! Don't hurry back.
We did spend two days on the island, and had a nice time hiking to bear point and swimming in big lake and walking around looking at all the cute unique houses. Not sure where this rude comment is coming from, or why you are assuming that this video represents our entire time on the island.
First impressions are important and the impressions given by you were not favourable; that you were 'stuck' on the island and couldn't wait to leave! Perhaps the time-lapse video played a part in that. I'm not normally rude but had to voice my opinion.
Sointula's founders wanted to create a utopia, but its not quite there yet. For instance, my idea of a utopia would include a place to get food after 5:30pm
It is too bad that you are filming at such a high speed that even someone who was born and raised here has a hard time telling where you are at in the filming at times. It really does not show people our island.

"It's a nice place, but it's still got a ways to go." What in the world are you talking about, and where has it got to get too?
