liam did a marvelous job as spartacus...i think of his character everyday..love him as spartacus! i have said this a million times, but i am addicted to the series...until it gets out of my system...i watch them every chance i get- over and over..over..:)
Liam stole my heart in War of the damned. Spartacus began to live again when he departed the face of this huge guy that came in their camp together with some other fellas.
Liam did a remarkable job at being Spartacus extremely talented not very often do I cry but omg when he was dying omg I cried and had goosebumps how he saw his wife sura and the music it was incredible in reality Spartacus fought so hard all his life for everything and during all his trials never did he forget sura perfect Liam
Ever since I found out this guy is awesome, plays both Diablo 3 and Skyrim with a barbarian character named Spartacus I've like his Spartacus even more. Epic finale of the season, he's obviously giving credit where due but he did a great job! =D
It was hard for me to make a connection with Liam as the character of Spartacus...with Andy playing the role from the start, u see his emotions and bond with him. It took me a while to feel what Liam was trying to portray. After Liams first 6 episodes I came to like him as an actor and as Spartacus. Well done Liam, you carried Spartacus to his destiny!
I agree, I think Andy did an incredible job and I think he left almost impossible shoes to fill but I think Liam did an amazing job in filling those shoes and making the role his own !
I love how if you watch the interview with Manu Bennet you can see the other side of when they briefly talk to one another near the beginning of this interview
To be honest when i heard Andy had health problems and eventually passed I thought that none could do the job. The first 2 episodes that Liam played i didn't really like him, but after that i think he did a great job and was the perfect man to end the show, he was just phenomenal. Great job Andy, Liam, Dan (Agron), Manu (Crixus), Dustin (Gannicus that played awesome in Gods of the Arena), Todd (Caesar), Simon (Crassus - he was a BIG time also) and all others that made this great show happen. THX
Liam on the second season was a little wierd, just not used to him after the loss of Andy. But in the 3rd season, he is doing such an amazing job. He truly became Spartacus.
I agree, it's hard to say this but i think liam was better at the "leadership" role but when it comes to battle and the arena, nobody can come close to andy, he did it with such passion
Just barely stayed on with Season 3, Andy could potray a man battling with his inner demons, both the gladiator of the arena and the man struggling to do the right thing for his people. Still S4 had an excellent cast, Crassus played well, staying on Crixus, hating Tiberius, and in the end Liam's Spartacus grew on me, it probably hurt him, only seeing him as the voice of reason for most of his season. Still, in the end he felt like a brother of the arena and after a season he grew on me.
you try following Andy in this role and see how you can do. This guy should have cut his hair yeah, that alone was a throw off (perfectly styled hair during a war..) but when all is said and done Andy was a legend as spartacus, talent, dedication, and just awesome. the best die young, fuck you world.
I liked the fact that he was not the muscle man. Although Spartacus is a great fighter, his greatness in battle comes mainly from his strategical intellect. Moreover, not always the man with the biggest mass of muscle is the best fighter, you see that in K1 a lot.
Yes, he did a very good job though I must admit, I was very skeptical at the begging, I thought the show will suck from now on just like Two and a Half men but it didn't. Very nice show, I'm sad it ended this way, I had my fingers crossed the entire episode hoping they would make us all happy and make a fictional end where everyone lives happily ever after. Wish Andy Whitfield could be here to see the show end. R.I.P
"It's heartbreaking." Yeah, even though it's already common knowledge what's gonna happen in the end (historically), I'm still rooting for the slaves to win. :(....
I wish Liam lowed his bodyfat a little and showed some more muscle building effort. Besides some reports of "he worked out" I didn't see a trained gladiator compared to the rest of the cast, I just saw "the average guy". But yeah, covering most of him up (once again: as only one) was a good call.
The slaves are going to win. If you look at the last Episode's name, it says "Victory", that's telling us that Spartacus and his people are going to win.
not bashing him, he's a good actor, but it just really lacked the trained gladiator feel other actors did give. Anyway, the "you can't have any opinion unless you show us you can do better"-TH-cam thing is getting old... and quite frankly patheticly sad.
LOL - Cool story I bet Starz lost millions because you never watched it - BUT lets be real you are looking at interviews for the final season we all know you watched it Stop acting cool online and do something productive
Agreed, he filled the shoes of Andy perfectly, he would be proud.
Finally finished watching this series last night and wow I cried haa!. Dude, Liam you're amazing. Everyone is amazing.

Wow, it's fun to watch these to interviews back to back.

"It's weird, wearing pants" - classic.
Andy Whitfield did an amazing job as Spartacus in season 1 and Liam McIntyre did a wonderful job carrying the character on.
Both of them did a great job...
This guy should get an oscar award.
He did a fantastic job
Ever since I found out this guy is awesome, plays both Diablo 3 and Skyrim with a barbarian character named Spartacus I've like his Spartacus even more. Epic finale of the season, he's obviously giving credit where due but he did a great job! =D
they both did great jobs!
scenario is phenomenal.
Andy whitfield played amazing as a gladiator.
Liam McIntyre played amazing as a leader of the rebellion group.
i love this man.

doesn't have to go 100% as history, better that Spartacus wins, he deserves the victory.
Amazing Statement!!!
I love how if you watch the interview with Manu Bennet you can see the other side of when they briefly talk to one another near the beginning of this interview
Andy would be proud.
Liam McIntyre is correct awesome and heart breaking
Agreed!
Pessoas Do BEM...LINDOOSS💯❤❤
Yeah Liam Stepped up No Doubt!!
Spartacus, aquele que trouxe a chuva ⚔️❤️
Shit! When Liam said this season is heart breaking...it's getting clear now that all are gonna die...I DON'T WANT THEM TO DIE.
To be honest when i heard Andy had health problems and eventually passed I thought that none could do the job. I really feel Liam didn't an excellent job in an impossible situation of trying to replace Andy
I didn't like him in the previous season, but in this one he really shines !
I agree, it's hard to say this but i think liam was better at the "leadership" role but when it comes to battle and the arena, nobody can come close to andy, he did it with such passion
Take my like Kind Sir
I saw this series film 3 times but still am thinking about Spartacus why he dead why......
Just barely stayed on with Season 3, Andy could potray a man battling with his inner demons, both the gladiator of the arena and the man struggling to do the right thing for his people.

Liam and Andy couldn't have done it better.
The fucking Thracian! :)
OH GAWD! its spartacus in a suit
He would be AWESOME as Rick in The Walking Dead!!!!
you try following Andy in this role and see how you can do. This guy should have cut his hair yeah, that alone was a throw off (perfectly styled hair during a war..) but when all is said and done Andy was a legend as spartacus, talent, dedication, and just awesome. the best die young, fuck you world.
Yeah he even looks a bit like him
I'......AM..... SPARTACUS!
I liked the fact that he was not the muscle man. Although Spartacus is a great fighter, his greatness in battle comes mainly from his strategical intellect. Moreover, not always the man with the biggest mass of muscle is the best fighter, you see that in K1 a lot.
I know, there are quite some benefits to a protective barrier, but doubt it would do that well on TV :D
he looks a lil older than his actual age!
I agree they both approach the character differently but neither is a disagreeable representation.
it is the history you cant change it! otherwise it will be fair tale not history
"It's heartbreaking." Yeah, even though it's already common knowledge what's gonna happen in the end (historically), I'm still rooting for the slaves to win. :(....
But there was no clear answer to if he died in real life everyone claiming he died but no body to be found
well the historical fact is that Spartacus was never actually found after the the last battle... so they really can twist the ending
Liam did well in an impossible job. He replaced the man who created the role and put his own spin on it.
Come @ me bro !
he looks like a spartacus
Both Spartacus and Crixus are stabbed in the back by idiots while they're fighting someone important. = = Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! D:
first Crixus then Spartacus MOTHERF-----S!!!!
Pila* :((, it had to be something as armorpenetrating like them to pierce all of his muscles.
You're calling me idiot because a lot of people like me think he's not the good actor for be spartacus ? Well...
I think he has done a good job, but he cannot match Andy's intensity in which this show is all about. Liam is more tamed and proper
yeah victory for the romans :/
lol Everyone is a critic - Let us know when you put millions down on a TV show so we can bash the actors behind a keyboard
Its how the story goes unfortunately :(
It's funny because gladiators actually had a lot of body fat.
REDONKULOUS
My wife likes Liam a bit...urgh!...hehehe
not bashing him, he's a good actor, but it just really lacked the trained gladiator feel other actors did give.
Anyway, the "you can't have any opinion unless you show us you can do better"-TH-cam thing is getting old... and quite frankly patheticly sad.
well is what happen in reality if he would habe defeted rome then the Romans wouldnt have been what they were...
the other guy was better
LOL - Cool story I bet Starz lost millions because you never watched it - BUT lets be real you are looking at interviews for the final season we all know you watched it
Stop acting cool online and do something productive
No, just because he's not the good actor for this character.
lol thats not nice
Andy is the real spartacus, i won't watch other seasons of it.
Only season 1 ♥
you missing out bro.
Liam McIntyre is correct awesome and heart breaking
