Family farm supply store that was here for 50 years until this year when the original owner's grandson decided farm supplies were too complicated for him so he turned it into an auto parts store, even though there is an Advance Auto Parts store almost within walking distance. Our local lumber store has picked up some of the slack but it's sorely lacking the coverage of the old store.
Years ago, I went to buy 4 Guinea keets.. There was one runner duckling. I bought all5 babies. When they got big enough, I moved them to the barn. Guineas flew over the fence. The runner ran along the fence crying for his family. One by one the Guineas returned, never to leave again. You are right, it is the plan. Remove our options
We've been 104-105 the last two days, so 94 today with a good breeze wasn't so bad! Tomorrow and the weekend will be even better, but then it's back over 100. I'm in Nebraska, and they had storms in the east around Omaha - but we just got a few spots in the dust! I have to drive 25 miles to a larger city for farm supplies, groceries, lumber - there are 3 feed stores in town and TS is one, although they just came in within the last few years. I don't shop there much, they are usually more expensive - just as I shop WalMart for a very few items I can't get at the other grocery store (there used to be an Aldi's, but they closed about 5 years ago). No major lumber yard, one locally-owned where there used to be three. And I just caught about 5 minutes of the debate - then spotted your video, and decided that it was the better option!
Ducklings are like the cutest baby farm animals. I walked out to the shed this week to my 2 broody Ancona ducks hatching 20 ducklings. Later I found a cat with one which is why I caught and brought the 20 in and set up a brooder. There was no way my "killer" barn cats would have let them live. They live big birds alone but babies are too enticing I guess. I do love my Muscovy's - - -getting some more I just can't help it ;)
We have a county co-op. We have a tractor supply. The counties around us have the same. In 3 directions, these counties are 45 minutes away. Our nearest Kroger is one hour and 30 minutes away from us, roughly. So I haven't seen the inside of Kroger in almost 2 years! We have a Walmart. Same thing, one in each county. I'm trying to figure out how to "make" the things I need. I hope everyone else is doing the same. GOD bless

Think about that for a minute… So, I have started to cut back on cancel culture. I've backed off drastically, my patronage of TS. But then my local farm supply store was bought out by TS. I was pretty bummed out. Started driving to neighboring towns to other farm supply stores. Then couldn't get some dairy goat supplies I needed. Reluctantly stepped into the TS & was treated like a Valued Customer!! They went above & beyond to special order everything I needed! The other stores had only shrugged & said, "Oh don't carry that anymore!" I'm not in any way agreeing with TS policy & will definitely not be going there exclusively, but when I step in the door there & have 3 or 4 employees greet me by name, then go to great lengths to help me, I have a huge appreciation for that. The other farm stores insist on seeing my ID even though the same clerk saw me 3 times in the same week!!!
The east coast has been having so much rain that my plants are drowning! We could use a little tiny bit of dry for a while, so I’ll keep praying that it goes your way!

I took items back to Tractor Supply over a month ago because of their wokeness. Cashier asked why I was returning them and I referred her to the article of her CEO. She said she's been looking for another place to work cause business is really down and it must be because of that.
We were told that our church had enquired about renting a space in our local strip mall. The owner said they couldn't rent to our church because TS made them agree that they would not rent to churches as long as they were renting space. Soooo, needless to say, I will NEVER step foot in another TS as long as I live.
I read tractor supply’s apology and it was well thought out and felt sincere. Just do business don’t get involved in politics that’s all I ever wanted. I will go back and support them now they also agreed to stop their carbon footprint crap and social credit score reporting. This is a win I will take it.
