    I played Shadow Creek a couple of times. Didn't break par either time. And I kind of hated mortgaging my house in order to play. Also, I felt a little guilty about making my wife sell 10 pints of her super rare AB negative blood. She was weak for a year. But then, we're talking serious golf here.

  • @doughardman
    @doughardman ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I've played a few of those, and feel like Shadow Creek is head and shoulders above the rest of the field. That was my favorite round of golf I've ever played. Everything was just perfect.

    Played Pebble Beach in 2011 it was $500 then even though we stayed there but what an amazing experience. Introduced on the first tee by the Marshall and proceeded to pull the tee shot right straight after he told me don’t go down the right side!!! Unforgettable experience and worth every dollar. Also luck enough to have played Tour18 in Texas and that is also an amazing place. 6:30

    You should include the complete cost though (pebble beach room rental for example) and caddie, I know its not green fees but they are a must to play......

    Along these lines I played Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand and took my wife along for the ride. She rode with my in my cart for a while. All tolled I spent $1000 and this was about 10 years ago. The thing that got me was that she didn't even bat an eye when I told how much it was. It was then that I realized how much she spends. LOL Of course she takes care of all the bills that I never see. LOL again.

    I've played Wynn's golf course a few times. If you're drunk enough it kinda feels like a goodwill Augusta. Especially with the caddy service and how they have them dressed in all white.

    Played Whistling Straits twice. 2nd time was opening week of 2020, and since it was a slow open because of Covid, they were charging $125/rnd. Don’t even care that I drove 4 hours there and back that day and that we played 18 in darkness. It was absolutely worth it.

    Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass the only 2 on this list playing worth playing. Honorable mention Whistling Straits. So many other better courses than the rest of list like Pinehurst and Brandon Dunes but those are not cheap. You could play either course plus Wolf Creek for cheaper than 1 round at Shadow Creek.
