When we practice yoga we move, we SWEAT, we breathe and we flow! This is why you need to clean your mat.
This short video is to show you how I clean my mat with just water, dishwashing liquid and essential oils. Please make sure that your mat is suitable for use with essential oils before you clean it as some mats do not work well with these scented oils.

I wash my mat in the tub with some vinegar, it releases the dirt really easy, no soap necessary… adding tea tree oil a bit on the dry areas to keep it from breaking the rubber out is smart,you can use spray bottle or damp sponge w/oil to treat any dry area of the mat is helpful if slippery, just wipe it out w/lightly damp towel

Hello. I think it says on it that it's a Samasthiti. I've never heard of it, but I found it here: samasthiti.co.za/index.php?route=product/category&path=18
My mat is rubber also, but is a different brand (FrenzyBird), and I got it from Amazon: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B089SXJPMR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
