I'm honestly surprised SIA agreed for this documentary to show the behind-the-scenes like this.
"cabbage"
"do you get nutmeg"
"cabbage?"
😂😂😂😂😂
The amount of training is unbelievable. No wonder the cabin crew look so respectable.
The one Singapore stewardess I met was just incredibly beautiful and very elegant. She stole my heart. I was just head-over-heels in love with her.
And they all got great cans!
Now I know why the reputation is so exceptional
I LOVE Singapore airlines!
Great video! ;)
She really is the Matchmaker from Mulan. FA MULAN! Now Pour the tea LOL
As a singaporean, I want someone with such eye to advice me on my hair.
Bob hair is good. Very easy to look after.
That grooming consultant scares me.. she's like a queen bee.. I'm sure she's nice in real life, but she's so stern and dominant 😳 (and yes, I know she just doing her job...)
She doesn't come over as dominant or stern to me....
I would definitely not call her as stern as dominant. She has a job to do to ensure certain standards and she does that in a professional manner
Most Asians are like that
No one wants to see how the sausage is made, but this is why they are No.1.
Love this amazing woman 🤗she just want the BEST for the girls👌
As much as I love Singapore Airlines, why would a customer expect the air hostess to fit in the uniform.
Customer rather expects a respectable behaviour, prompt service, some extra care and empathy is cherry on the cake.
Because not every person looks good in SIA uniform. They want their stewardess to look presentable I think.
SQ is well known for their slim singapore girls in fitting kebaya, besides their impeccable service. Its part of the experience when you fly with them. Who wants to see a chubby stewardess?
Do you know how many ex-SQ crew joined other airlines such as Emirates just because they got “overweighted” according to SQ standard? Ridiculous company. Crew cannot choose their makeup and hair style. That queen bee dictates everything for the girls.
@@sarahlee104impeccable service? went with sq for my holiday, and theri crew’s service was just bad.. didn’t even smile throughout the flight
@@k.wee21 just your bad luck i guess
Do they have turbulence simulator? They shake the floor and train their balance..
how much do they get paid? Is it worth it with all these expectations and scrutiny ?
From what I've heard on other youtube channels, the general salary isn't that great, but they can increase their income by picking up flights, subbing for others, and a few other things I don't remember.
Not sure it's something I'd want to do if I were a female.
@@tglenn3121 yea they have to keep raising the salaries higher if they want to keep attracting the best talents we have in the country.
Based on recent flights with SQ, their male crews are performing less than expected. While SQ girls are still amazing!
my friend is cabin crew for sq and theres a reason for males not performing less in cabin, they work more behind the scenes in the galley to protectt their female staff from the hard work such as galley and prep work, and from possible harassment from passengers, i think. so all the female crew do the cabin work, and the male crews do all the hard prep work in the galley and theres a certain male to female crew ration for each flight . itrs not "performing less" its for a reason one of my sq friends said
@@cherylgmh Thanks for your explanation. It's great to see that female crews are protected from heavy duties on board. Please extend my warm wishes to your friend for a safe and happy flight. Happy Holidays! 🎄
It reminds me about my own training to become a flight attendant 44 years ago.
On one flight, a female passenger lost her valuable ring, and asked me to help her searching for it. I took a flight attendant's flashlight, kneeled down on the cabin floor, searching for that ring.
Another passenger walked by, looked at me, and asked me what I was looking for.
Still kneeling on the cabin floor, I looked up to him and said: I am looking for all the glamour they promised me in training 😂
Could you tell me why the last trainee should cut her hair?? I can't hear well...
I think she said to comb or correct her hair, talks too fast
She said she looks like a young mother in law hiding in that bun and that a bob haircut will make her look younger
They can't even control their own hair!!!! Scary!!!
From what I heard, both hair and makeup are dictated by SIA. The girls have NO freedom or right to change this.
The way they wanted the girls to lose weight after giving birth basically makes sense. That is the consequence of working with physical look as the requirement. Plus, SIA has an exceptional reputation based on the passenger's perspective and the company tries to keep it.
Yeah, cuz Singapore Air can't possibly just make the uniforms bigger.
They can't even be themselves. How bad is the rules right there. It totally limits human rights.
RIDICULUS.
Cabin crew, not air hostess ....
Yes, it's cabbage 🥬....
Woman so annoying ..
She is only training them to comply with the airline's sexist standards. Don't blame the messenger.
