Here in Brazil, Dolphin has been a MASSIVE success. I think it’s the most sold EV of all. It costs from US$30,000 to US$36,000 depending on the range.
This price is not cheap, BYD’s products are considered affordable and cheap in the Chinese market. Later in our program we will film some more powerful electric vehicles in the Chinese market.

The price tag is €35000 for the top version in Spain. However, you can get it for around €30000 in December 2024 with current discounts. This is great value compared to competitors like ID3 or MG4.
I looked up the parameters and didn't find any specific values. But the rear seat comfort is no problem at all. If you drive for more than 2 hours, it may be a little uncomfortable, but commuting is no problem at all
In the UK there are four models of Dolphin with the prices ranging from £26,195 to £31, 695. Apart from seeing them at an electric car show where they were test driven, I haven't seen one on the road. This is probably because BYD hasn't been selling cars here for very long. On reading the comments on TH-cam Dolphin reviews, people who have bought them seem to like them.
@@WareToGo_WTG Yes, many consumers still do have concerns about electric vehicles. In the UK they are more expensive than an equivalent ICE car, the range is lower and they cost more to insure. The EVs that seem to be the most popular where I live are Teslas and the MG4. When SAIC bought MG, the company inherited the dealer network that meant that it was easy to introduce new models. BYD had to start from zero and has been rapidly expanding its dealer network. Even so it is an unknown brand and people would be more concerned about buying a car from an unknown brand than from an established brand.
I drove this car for about 1 hour Feel the brisk steering and very flexible in urban area. Because the size is small, the support when turning is also good, and you can't feel any roll. MacPherson struts at the front and multi-link suspension at the rear are standard features for economy cars. I drove it on city roads, and the comfort was fine. But the car owner told me that because the multi-link suspension of the rear wheel only has 3 links, the comfort of the rear seat is not very good when the road conditions are bad.
As for the air conditioning, I didn't pay much attention to it. The car owner told me that remote air conditioning startup is very easy to use, especially in extreme weather in summer and winter. If you turn on the air conditioning in advance, you will be very happy when you get in the car.
