In the beginning of 2000's people missed B group amd now people miss these cars. It's sad that we can't never appreciate present moment. I love 2010's cars more because they are aggressive and I feel like B group came back. Early 2000's cars were pretty lame in terms of sound and power.
I've just returned home from the 2012 WRC Rally Acropolis (Greece) Day 3 and damn... this video represends the best era of WRC Ralling... I miss those times...
Awesome footage! From about 1997-2003 was really the high point in WRC history. In the new format anyway. (I know Group B was amazing too) The cars were great, the drivers were great, and the rally's aswell. WRC not being as good in last couple of years is not because of the new cars though. WRC from '08-'10 was pretty terrible too. What we need is more manufacturers and more full time pro-wrc drivers.
80s and 90s were best years for rallying by far more cars more competitive drivers around, from 2002 onwards rallying has slowlygone downhill and its sad to see :(

For marketing purposes, the Lancer was called Carisma in Europe, starting at a certain year, thats all. So it IS a Lancer Evolution, just with a different name in europe (at least here in germany).
That whistle is pretty much annoying but i love the Rally Cars from the early 2000's. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI and Subaru Impreza WRXSTI are one of my all-time favorites. I loved these Cars in Gran Turismo 3 for PS2.

And in 2020 its just ford toyota and hyundai, and the only difference u can see between the cars is the color
