Cool videos mate, you just got another subscriber! One comment though to this video in particular - you should tighten the top nut of the shock AFTER the car sits on the ground. There is a risk that now it may not be tighten properly.

Best tutorial I've seen so far. I noticed that you said that the suspension springs should be replaced in pairs, can I ask, did you replace both in yours?

Thanks for that :) I'm glad that you like it. Yes I replaced two springs. I didn't show it on video because job on both sides is the same :)

You've made this look pretty straight forward and we'll explained. Is this the same process on a Renault wind? Also what is the metal wire called that you use to hold the parts in place to avoid damage? Also how do you know how much compression is needed on the spring? Thank you and keep up the great videos.

Hi :) Renault Wind is more like Renault Twingo, and it might have small differences compering to Clio. especially under windshield cowl. But suspension will be pretty the same. Similar construction. You have to compress the springs until you feel that they have no tension on shock absorber. That's the only way. Ohh and the wire, it's just copper wire nothing special ;)

Would be a simple job if sway bar and strut head didnt have an Allen key slot made out of toffee, despite penetrating oil and wire brushing both gave up well before the retaining nuts left the thread.Beware.

I need to do my Clio 3 also and I've been looking online at the coil springs. I can see some are different lengths for the clio 3. How do you know which ones to choose ?

@@ravenmaster6364 Some are 341mm and others 351mm do you measure the old ones?

with 341, the top mount bearing is too tight, 351 is ok - is there a easier way of telling ?

@@MrDookie2011 hi mate, arent the springs colour coded with specific coloured dots indicating which model they fit, like on mine they are blue and orange dots indicating they are for a 197 cup. 👍👍. auto doc are good for parts have you tried them?
