I worked for Bo in 1982-84. A real human being. I recorded my first song in his barn studio with his kid’s band Offspring. We remained good friends for 25 years.
A co worker friend of mine ran into Bo late one night in a Dunkin Donut shop .. he was sitting there alone drink a coffee ☕️ after a show in Connecticut .. my buddy got to his car .. turned around and walked in and had a nice down to earth conversation with him … he said that Bo couldn’t be more nice , polite and down to earth !
Absolutely in love with Bo’s back up singer Cookie V true name Cornelia Redmond-Chavez. She sadly passed at 50 in 1999. So beautiful and sexy with the voice of an angel. You ROCKED Cookie V !

Bo Diddley was a beautiful human being...The type this world needs more of. I was fortunate enough to see him live twice. I caught him at the Central Washington state fair in Yakima, WA in September of 85. He graciously gave me his autograph after the show. I also saw him at the Showbox in Seattle, WA around 2004. Sure was. Heard one of his albums about 55 years ago. It started me down the road as a don't- give -a-fuck dude. An attitude that has served me well till this day. I'm 72 and still don't give a shit or sweat the details. Works for me. lol

I would mostly agree, except IMO the bassist screws up the whole groove. He has this perfect in the pocket walking bass line, than suddenly just starts slapping on one note. WTF?

Elvis was a great cover singer for the songs the real rockers were making but were kept under wraps due to the racist industry, if black artists were allowed the same platforms, freedom to be marketed and merchandized you'd never have heard of an Elvis, Jerry Lee or Pat.,
@@aarondigby9859 Nah, you're just jealous Elvis, Jerry Lee, and the other great white rockers were as good as the black ones. That's what really bothers you.
Incredible groove, i used to bliss out with Quicksilver Messengers live version of 20 minutes ...but this is virtually just Bo keeping this going and dancing too....god bless you mr bo
Damnit Curtis I was just gonna post a comment saying the same thing. Obviously other guys see it too. I've watched a few of Bo's vids now and most often he has at least one pretty girl in his band. Or did have when he was still alive. I love this real rock and roll.

Yes. When I was at the University of Florida Bo did a free concert for charity in a Walmart parking lot, around 1995 or 96. Great Man, lived in Archer Florida

That’s about the time I saw him at the Delta Blues Festival in Mississippi. Were you with him then ?
Jilly Ayn !!!!
Had the pleasure to meet Bo back in the '60s at "Gold Rush", an outdoor venue. Billed were Ike and Tina and Santana.
There's a phrase for fellahs like Bo Diddley..."They don't make 'em like that no more".
No siree, they sure as hell don't.

Chicago here, looks like 70'sTeddy boys dancing to Bo's big beat.
Apart from England V SCOTLAND in 1967, this has to be the best ever performance at Wembullee!
And you had to ruin the moment, by mentioning the "porridge goblins", cheers Jim!😂😂😂😂

the crowd shots are hilarious, wish the camera stayed on the stage more
Did I really see Lemmy Kilmester standing there in the audience on 02:00 min?

Love Bo Diddley!!!
One of the best that there ever was!
I saw Bo Diddley, Carl Perkins, and Fats Domino in 1978. What a show!!!

No one could integrate a guitar with a song and produce such a driving effect; no one.
Bo was a drummer before he played guitar. Might have smth to do with it.
He really seems to be enjoying himself. I love that!

My friend, Sid Herring, and his band, The Gants, recorded Roadrunner in about 1965 and launched their music career from it. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The Rolling Stones recorded a great version too
Comb the quiff - shrug the shoulders - and git to it boy - grooving man
Rythm and sound unbeatable, beautiful backup singer. Love this....
I have always admired his cool clothes, the shoes to the embroidered jackets, pants, and soulful shoes.
Great to see Big Bad Bo‼️Those Teds, really takes me back✌️🌻

Thank you! That was very special. You can feel a lot about the man by watching and listening to him play. A huge lot of warmth! Blessings! Xxx
The Brits know how to rock n roll. You don't see Americans dancing like that.
Love that image of Chuck Berry at the end, trying to drag Bo back on stage for an encore!
Look at those old turntables and mixer at the end. I didn't know they had mixers in 1972.
Good old times..

There were no punk rock fans then. But You can recognize that some potential later punk rock fans dance. It's just no charts music. And rock'n'roll.
Mick Jagger knew that this festival blew anything they ever did away..i love the stones man but this song and that backup singer was way hip
Interesting hair styles on those boy's. Sort of post-hippie-Mod with elements of Punk. With a tad 1950s greaser. Cool.
Bo didn’t give a fuck as long as the check cleared
Punks dancing to rockabilly spaghetti style sounds like a nice era.
