this is my first project attempt in race car building.the build took 7 months of hard (after hours) work and the results i got after the first race were very satisfying.ENJOY!
mind telling me what engine you ran? im assuming a 600 or 1000cc engine from a crotch rocket? would love to get more info on this build. i personally want to build one close to this. awesome video btw!
Autocross cars do not benefit much from power. Being all motor saves tons of weight as intercooler, bigger radiator, extra coolant, turbo and all adds up a lot in tiny cars like that.
@@tonytober Title says it is a hill climb car, and those are pretty much mandatory to use FI because they have problems breathing at higher altitudes. And it would be really sick.
@@tonytober How cool to meet you! I also have background in Formula SAE but i never did wrenching on these, i was designing parts in AutoCAD. We never made it really work tho, it was always inferior. But we had some nice Formula Predator wins, i believe it is a EU only series. They even let me rip the dam thing around. I'm now looking to build my own open wheeled racecar, but funding is kinda iffy and i'm scared it may not be able to pass homologation for the frame.
@@lazar2175 Floating in the same boat. If you start your open wheeler, just make sure you know what you want and the restrictions, legally wise. Money will always be a cut factor, lol, but there is always a way out without cutting quality, it just takes more time.
So amazing you guys are a huge inspiration for my build. Nice to know I'm not crazy for wanting to build a race car from scratch.

@@lazar2175 Agreed. I have FSAE backgrounds and it certainly does look very similar, shapes and dimension wise.

I think I now know what I want to do with my Yamaha FJR 1300 engine.
