It is, formula 1000, the 1000 stands for 1000 cubic centimeter displacement for the motor. That is typical size of high performance sport bikes like honda cbr 1000, gxr 1000 etc. They all use 4 stroke 4 cylinder 1000 cc bike engines.
@@samfahed9237 depends on the category. In the formula 1000 category, the engines drive the traditional chain into a custom housed chain drive differential that drives independent axles. In smaller displacement categories like f500/f600 they often run solid kart style axles that are chain or belt driven. Both categories run the engine in the same configuration as a motorcycle.
Probably is because he didn't heat up the tires. U clearly can see that the car had a lot more grip at 1:37 compared to the few turns right after the start.
A Formula One style car with a bike motor? This should become a real motorsport category!

My exact question as I'm finished up the chassis on a similar track toy.
It handled so much better after the tires warmed up. Another great hill climb video from my favorite youtube channel.
This car is freaking awesome!!!! I love it!! Well done.
This car seems very tail happy but the driver handles it well

Valere is always on the limit with this car and with his old mazda 323. My favourite hillclimb driver
I wish FSAE cars could look this cool :(
1:40 reminds me of Ayrton Senna
2:15
Perfect. Ayrton Senna style. Senna used to make those corner exits by tapping the accelerator, so the car has more grip on the corner exits.
Car has the same amount of grip, that tehnique is for testing the level of grip.
Dat throttle response. You could hear every single pulse of his foot. Has to be ITB's on that, seems like a very happy motor.
amazing beautiful !
Are these Formula Ford type cars with Solid rear axles or do they have a differential?
So who do I write the check out to🤔?
I want one of those!
Looks frightening and so fun.
How do I build one?
You can buy one
How and where?
cool video
Tolle Fahrzeugbeherrschung dieses "kleinen" Boliden.
What is this car's top speed? How many hp is it putting out?
Not sure on top speed but roughly about 200 hp if the engine's stock
Sound reminds me of a Cosworth DFV
うひょー、R1000のエンジン乗っかってるんだぁ・・・。
てか走っててめっさ楽しそうな道だなぁ。そっちが羨ましいわw
It needed wider rear tires.
Or another differential, and more downforce, and more rear stiffness, a little more toe-in, etc, and a pussy foot driver lol
