The more I watch these videos from Rose, the more nostalgic I am for a life I never experienced. The sense of friendship and community is so evident. Just shows that you don’t have to have the most modern conveniences or money, to live life well.

I love the cooperation and communal spirit in Rose's village
l grown up in Poland with this community spirit being a normal thing around, all neighbours were helping with harvest, storing the grain, potato picking... l live now in UK and l thought l will never experience this kind of community spirit anymore only to find it in Pakistan where l travel quite regularly... l think poorer countries still have this sense of togetherness and community spirit
I truly admire the beautiful community spirit and strong sense of cooperation with all of the friends and family working and cooking together ❤️ Congrats and good blessing for Mei's new home.

Yes...I'm hmong from China and now living in America. I don't get along with most of the Chinese, but get along with other race just fine.

That pudding your eating the one wrap in the banana leave my grandmother use to make them when I was little sometimes she would put raisins in some it is sweet I long for some it bring back sweet memories ❤

Looks like something we make in Puerto Rico (pasteles -wrapped in plantain leaves and filled with meet) especially during Christmas season. Love your family, reminds me of my childhood in the countryside of PR, lots of mountains and vegetation. ❤ 7:14

This reminds me so much of our communal living in my village in Nigeria. For thr most part, whenever someone needed to build a house, the whole community showed up and the division of labor was similar to what you see here in this video depending on the stage of the work. Instead of payment in cash, the workers were usually paid in good delicious food. I wonder how much this has changed?
