Thank you, was looking for the updated tier list! Since the Fury and Scorpius are interceptor tuned, do you still recommend using the omnisky canons? What about the Gladius since it got its buffs?
Hey avenger I've got a question for you about how you'd expect the following to work in pvp, because I know pvp follows different rules than pve. The theory of combat im using for the mirai guardian I'm working under is that I'm not going to win rate turns against light or medium fighters so don't even try, and instead use the guardian (or any heavy fighter) as a mobile turret, because if I can keep nose on target I'm going to win in trades against any fighter other than an ares, f8, a scorpius with a turret gunner, maybe a hurricane with turret gunner, and maybe an f7a (probably some vanduul fighters and missile boats like firebird and tallon shrike). The MM flight model has an egg shaped flight profile which at high speeds makes you fly like a fighter aircraft, so if you want to keep the 6 dof of freedom relevant take forward movement out of the equation and strafe pitch and yaw like an orbiting turret and you can wiggle your target pip with strafing. And the guardian is unusually good at strafing for a heavy fighter. If a light fighter whips past me at high speed im thinking it's forward "momentum"/the MM flight model will make it hard for it to bring it's nose around, so if I boost my pitch/yaw while sideways strafing I maybe able to get guns on target before him, and im going to win in trades against any light fighter who adopts the orbiting turret strategy also presenting my front to the opposing fighter minimizes my cross section (although it exposes me the pilot). Not sure how that theory of combat will hold up in pvp but it's working against AI/in pve, of course i'd bet there's a lot of stuff that will work in pve that doesn't work in pvp, so,can you provide your assessment? the idea is to use compettion grade A components (other than a nightfall cooler which i haven't aquired yet) and Galdereens. To punch up against large slow targets rely on on rattler 2's for missiles.
First I have to agree with a LOT of what you've said (relatively new to SC). However, the stealth issue you keep hammer is beyond logical considering the level of stealth of current real life US stealth fighters. F35 will lock and kill before another plan can even see them, B2 launches bombs over the horizon, and then there is the F22 that has the radar cross section of a bumble bee... You can literally see the F35 and F22 with your eyes before you radar would ever pick up either one.
i understand somewhat rolling g's off in a fight, but i dont remember seeing a video where you were talking about lateral g's and inverting the fight and all that you mentioned here. i'd probably say im a rookie cause ive been getting those corkscrews feeling good and seeing the repeaters whizz right by me but i cant do any of those s turns or wave patterns yet lol
I cannot wait to hear how the ship balance changes with the updated flight model and crafting when it comes in. Overall, sounds like just get Gladius since it is the hero ship for S42 and they want it to shine. Plus you say all the time on stream, if you are new and want to dogfight: get one. AND it is the only ship on your alt account now (or do I mean main account since your other account is locked:) )
I agree with just about everything in your tier list other than the requirement for the Gladius to need someone trained (I think someone at a rookie level would be quite effective in it in a teamfight gang) and the positioning of the Guardian being 2 whole tiers lower than the Lightning. Yes, I think it should be in a comfortable slot in C tier (as per my joke right off the cuff of the stream), but going off of your ratings, I would have thought it would fit more snugly in D tier with the similar ratings as the Hurricane. I would definitely rate it lower than Lightning and Glaive based on overall effectiveness, but I probably would have placed it in D due to very similar flight performance (a little bit better, to me) of the Lightning. Despite my disagreement and all of that, I really feel weird in thinking that the Guardian also sits pretty much exactly where I'd expect a heavy fighter like it to be. I'm sure there will be improvements or nerfs soon, but I honestly don't think it needs to shift in either direction very much. Solid takes!
Don't you think that the snub fighters should be S class? In the actual PU these ships have to be carried to the fight or are restricted to a very local area. I think that justifies their S class status. You say you would like to see the gladius, hornet, arrow back at the top of the pvp meta, which is okay if they actually get fuel limited to be carrier based fighters who cant even move between planets on their own and need support ships and logistics to operate them effectively.
Aurora: "It's basically a space coffin" 🤣
This list is very different from the one vergil made. Wondering what your thoughts are on his list.

Solid takes!
So how many Mirai Furys can fit in Polaris?
Tier list starts at 3:48:00
So glad that CIG fixed the (*@#&$^T HUD for dogfights...
So you're saying I need to get a Firebird . . .

Nomad continues to be the best since it can carry a fury lol
griefer comes you just say hold up let me get in my fury first
hahaha Fury most effect most usable, well, i make one jump you are out of the fight
Then the Mantis that every moderately serious group brings will stop you from doing so lol
you gotta cut the pvp tier stuff out of this long video or nobody will see it
