    Love the truck, Go Ford Mark! The ML sounds mean too.

      Thanks Chris. Still plenty to do and a lot (mechanically) done so far, but it is a cool old truck. Yes, the ML is my German tank with the V8. 😀👍

    With the squeak of tyres in the background, I knew EXACTLY what it smelt like inside the ML at the time!! Nice double entendre "MB" number plate, too.

      Yes, I tell my daughter “that is for Mercedes Benz”. She doesn’t believe me! 😀

    Great work Ray & Mark! Amazing, really looking forward (Ford?!) to the finished project.

      Thanks very much. It is a slow (and expensive) process but worth it. 👍

    Thank you for the update Mark. I hope you get the Seville issue sorted out too. It may be frustrating right now, but progress is being made on the car. Thank you for sharing the roads in Australia.

      Thanks Olds98. I have no doubt we will get there on the Seville. It was neglected service wise for quite a while, which is why I am having to get the remedial work done. It is worth it though as ai love the look of the car. 👍

      @@markbehr88 You will get there. You are correct when something has sat up or been neglected, you have to invest. I had to do that with my cars. I totally understand. Stay committed.

    Great to see things moving along!
    Also Ray does seem to know his work really well especially for knowing subtle things like the relay being wrong way round... Or is it just me because I don't know anything about wiring loom lol
    Anyhow also this journey sort of amuses but also inspiring journey of persistence!

    • @markbehr88
      @markbehr88  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, Ray knows his stuff and could re-wire the whole truck if needed. You definitely have to be persistent, especially when you have multiple projects running. 👍

    hey Mark you should be able to knock out the dent in the 1957 grille so iconic these old Fords can't kill them

    • @markbehr88
      @markbehr88  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. That is the plan. I also do have a factory chrome grille as well but I like the white as it is more old “Tonka”. I’ll stick that on the wall if I don’t use it. 👍

    Hi Mark, good to see the F250 again , Ray is doing a good job on her, up to his elbows in nuts and bolts. That is a very odd size wheel 16.5 inch this is going to be a great truck are your going back to the original finish or the rustic patina looks either way both finishes will suit this F250. The Cadillac looks great as well.
    I love those Mercedes ML nice sounding V8 engine, a mate of mine has a C class a AMG C63 V8 that is a nice car with a sweet sounding engine much better than a tractor sounding diesel motor, are you still enjoying your Peugeot 202.
    Thanks for asking about my Dad, I picked him up from Hospital and brought him home, hes is doing well after his heart attack and he doing well with his medication, we have a good health service in Wales and thanked the staff of Glan Clwyd Hospital, It was a half hour drive home 33 miles.
    As always a great video see you soon Take care

      Good to hear your Dad is on the mend Shaun. Yes, plenty to still do on the F truck. I want to restore it mechanically and I will then start to replace the rusted sections but the idea is a sympathetic restoration to keep it’s look rather than a nut and bolt repaint. The ML is great. Love it plus it is coming in handy as I am moving quite a few things at the moment. The carrying capacity is very good. I have not driven the little Peugeot since the last video. It is safely tucked away. 👍

    More fun with both projects😁. How about the Citroen? You must have gotten all the obvious parts for that vehicle by now.

    • @markbehr88

      The Citroen or the Renault or Peugeot? I have four Citroen GS cars. One mint, one orange one I want to fix and two that could be fixed or may be used for parts. Nothing lime having multiple projects on the go as I also have the Cadillac Seville and the Ford 1957 F250. 😀👍

      @@markbehr88 The car that you recently bought off a fellow enthusiast. Running but in need of a tidy up. I thought it was brown BUT maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. I commented to the effect that: the parts were going to be much easier to obtain and … cheaper than the F250 parts!

    • @markbehr88
      @markbehr88  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michaelguerin56 Yes the brown one was a Citroen GS (stored in NSW at the moment). The burgundy one is the Renault 10. 👍

    Hi Mark , where the hell is the brake booster mounted in this 4.1ltr v8 Caddy Seville ?? Is it buried somewhere weird like in the cabin under that dash , instead of in the engine bay itself ?? . Meanwhile the big red "Tonka" truck seems to be coming along ok. However those wheels for it 16.5" is almost approaching a metric size like the 1986/88 Jaguar XJ40's until enough complaints by owners that the series 2 version went back to imperial with the default basic one being 16", but you could opt up by inch increments, i.e. 17", 18" etc. For any unlucky owner now with an early version Jag XJ40 there is only one tyre maker making the metric 16.5" ?? ones, Michelin, and they are super expensive hundreds and hundreds of dollars per tyre.

    • @markbehr88
      @markbehr88  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Greg. It is on the left hand side firewall. 16.5 was common for early trucks. Many people fit 16” these days but I wanted to stick to the original. 👍
