Thank you Ben and TRC. This session was the fastest I had ever run in my life! An incredible session coupled with the 10 week plan structured in Runna gave me my current 10k PB. I hope I can do this again next year and shave off another three minutes or so! ❤
This seems like a lot of fun! They were unbelievably lucky to get Andy and Ben (and Sarah, Tom and Jess!) to coach them through this. For me, Jess' recent successful attempt has motivated me to try and do the same after I've finished my first ever ultra. Also if the guy at 1:30 with glasses is reading this per chance: awesome tattoo. Great artist behind that, I'd imagine.
I remember this as being very hard work! Sarah: "Feeling Good?", Me: "No." I was nothing less than honest! Somehow, it was still a very enjoyable session. Great stuff.
TRC...great video as always! Would love an updated pre and post run warm-up and stretching video that shows the exercises the group were performing before and after this training session!
I'm running for my first ever marathon this next December in Valencia. After having had surgery on my left foot, I feel privileged just to be able to run and finish such a goal. Thanks for this motivating video!
I’m doing a half marathon training plan with Runna and I am AMAZED by how much my fitness has increased. I’m running faster with ease and when I look at my pace I’m shocked at how effortless it feels. What a gift to be able to run!!
This was such a great day! Everyone was so friendly and supportive! Especially to us slower runners, we definitely worked hard!! The HARDEST workout I’d ever done!! It almost killed me 🤣🤢🫣
Great training video! It was nice seeing this video after having seen the group set PBs in the previous one. The half marathon will always be my favorite distance!
10k is the most brutal distance for fast to medium speed runners. Bit too long to be a speed run, but too short to be endurance. It’s just how much pain can you take, how close to your 5k pace do you dare push it.
I miss running on the track. Priority for me has been building fitness in a short amount of time for an unplanned marathon. Will be back on the track at the end of September/beginning of October to test 5k and 10k times before the snow arrives and I'm treadmill-bound for 6 months 🥴
@@runningchannel got one that's a 2km run from home, so a nice warm up. I was there every week working on getting my 5/10k times down before building up for my marathon endurance for Sept 2025, but a friend messaged offering to pay for my entry to Oslo marathon this September so I couldn't say no 😂 if you guys want a real challenge, send someone to run the Oslo marathon next year. The hills are brutal!
I would say my favorite running distance is a half marathon though it may end up being a full marathon once I complete it. Also I’m surprised this didn’t come out before the 10k video
So am I! I only started running about a month ago, got my PR two days ago. It's definitely not good, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished; just above 35 minutes. My goal is fairly obvious (

@@runningchannel Thanks! At first I didn't see it in Spotify but luckily I was able to hear the first 2 episodes during my run. Of course I loved your take on Femke!
Hi, just wondering why no mention of paces. Something like at race pace, faster than race pace, etc.? Or should I assume that since it's an interval session so run at faster than race pace??
sir i am speaking from india. My 1600m run isn't improving, eight laps on the 200m track. About to enter at 6.30 minutes, my time there is about 8 minutes and 10 seconds. I don't have a long steps. It would be better if you give some information on how to reduce the time. Currently my weight is 69 kg
im trying this out on Tuesday I have the Garmin 35 I can set the first 8 x 90 seconds interval but I cant see how to add a second lot of 8 reps at 40 seconds. Help please!!!!!!
Does it count on a treadmill? I did a 10k PB on my treadmill earlier this week and did run most of it at a 1% incline. The problem is I live in Houston and even in the morning it is typically very hot and humid in summertime. I can barely finish a 10k in this heat.
A bit of criticism here, that's hopefully contructive: I think it would have been nice to have included a bit of chit chat with people of colour. Sometimes, people of colour feel left out just because. As a viewer, I would love to see more inclusivity. Well done otherwise! ❤
It’s nice to re-live the day, I was tired and grouchy from getting the first train down 🥲, I remember it been fun though. Thanks to you guys and Runna for having me again!

We're so glad you enjoyed it Andy! It was a fantastic day and you were INCREDIBLE! What's you're next pb distance going to be? 👀
@@runningchannel Great South Run is next, so 10 miles, but thankfully Runna has me covered on that.

Half marathon is my favourite race distance, but I have a full marathon tomorrow! I will have to think of it as two half's 😂
Good luck, usually a distance that is 2x as long does not feel twice as long because your body is ready for the longer race
Runna is keeping me on track for my first Half Marathon. Love the varience of sessions it's planned out for me

My favorite distance is the half marathon, it's very satisfying without the recovery time of a full marathon.
How long do you find recovery takes you?
@@CreativeC13 Typically, 36 hours.

Thanks so much for coming! It was a brilliant day 😁

Great work ❤ best video 😊👍
So happy you liked it! Have you got a 10k time pb coming up?
I’m training for the Green Man ultra (around Bristol). After watching this I might give the Runna app a go!
Favorite distance is the full! I have 4 of them coming up this fall including NYC and Philadelphia where I will be a pacer!
My favorite distance is 3-4 km sprint orienteering in city centers!
This is great guys :)
Thanks TRC!

suffering from achilles tendonitis atm. so no intervals or hard running for me, just 80-85% of max, walking and S&C
Any details on the paces for the intervals? 10K pace? Faster than 10K pace for some of them?

It all depends on the runner, the paces are all individual depending on what your goal time is
@@runningchannel well naturally. but 5k pace? 1 mile pace? %of target pace? there must be some guidance else the session means nothing.
