This video literally brought tears to my eyes. I’ve been a runner my whole life. I’m now 62 years old and a cancer survivor. I am still running. Not nearly as fast as when I was in my prime but that doesn’t matter. To see all those people do so well was inspiring. To see Andy and Sarah encouraging everyone was even better.
Thank you to everyone on and off camera for producing awesome videos that help keep me going when my morale gets low. I wish I could thank you all in person, but my words will have to suffice.

When I see runners carrying a few extra lbs I always have massive respect for them. The amount of force on the calves, legs, back and also there is some peer reviewed research which suggests exercising at high intensity whilst overweight can restrict the lungs oxygen reserve, for someone to have the strength to complete a run with all that shows they are absolute beasts.

I've finished 4 ultras, run loads of half marathons, raced 10KM/5KMs and always seeking how to improve, and be better. So I've watched loads of content from everywhere.
    This was special.
"We run because we enjoy it"
Completely forgot what it means to have the luxury to move my legs, be out in the sun (or rain) and just be in movement, whether chasing a PB, just finishing a race or training.
Thanks for this because I really have fallen out of love with running in recent months and I think i need to see how happy it makes people.

25 minute 5k is a great milestone. I feel like getting to the point where I could do that when I wanted was the point where I felt like I was an above average runner. My next milestone goal is sub-20 minute 5k - I’m doing a 5k in a little more than a week where that’ll be my aim. My Garmin seems to think that I can do it in 18:51, but that would be a three minute PB, so really anything under 20 minutes would be incredible for me.

Back in 2009, I made a pledge that if I ever stop using crutches, I would start running. I did. 14 years later and having recovered from 4 knee operations I am running! My goal is to keep running as it gives me the biggest joy and sense of freedom. I completed my first trail half marathon in June this year - this was my biggest motivation for recovery after the last operation in 2022. My goal now is to see if I can get a little faster (maybe break that 25minute 5k) and continue running injury free 😊

Well done to everyone who achieved a PB in this vid and great work Running Channel for always spreading the love 👍🏼👍🏼🏃‍♂️
I started running in May last year at 38 years with no running background, a decent level of fitness but a few knee grumbles. I was doing about 35km/week and managed to get my 5k time down from 27:00 to 22:32 by October. I also acheived a best 10km time of 49:10 and a sub 2 hour half marathon, (although i shied away from that kind of distance because it seemed to wreck my knees). I can't say I ever particularly enjoyed it to be honest and in November it got cold and rainy and I just stopped running completely 😂
I started running again in May this year, primarily to help with mood and I was initially dismayed to see how much fitness I had lost over winter. So I decided that if I was going to continue that i'd get a little more 'serious' about it all. First, doing regular strength training (which seems to have also helped my knees no end). Second, mixing proper 'sessions' into my weekly running (some hill sprints, kilometer repeats etc) and third, increasing my mileage to the 80km minimum/week mark, mainly slower runs but with some speed/tempo/interval work thrown in.
Shock! I genuinely love running now, 🤯 it's normally the highlight of my day and channels like this one, Philly B and Harry Morgan have played a big part in shaping that love, providing session/training guidance and just getting me out the door on those days when motivation is perhaps a little lower 😁. I definitely wont be giving up running this winter, it feels like part of who I am now somehow.
So far this year i have got my 5k down to 21:28, 10k down to 48:00 and half down to 1:54:00 (although i've never really tried an all out effort for a half...). My 10km time was set in early July and I feel that I've definitely unlocked some speed and endurance since then, probably thanks to the consistant mileage and my Sunday 'long' runs now regularly hitting the 25km mark.
In terms of goals, I would like to keep my mileage consistent throughout winter, get my 10k time to at the 44:xx range by the end of the year and my 5k down to 20:00 by the end of next (which may or may not be possible, we'll see!). I'm sure these times are not particularly impressive to many who watch this channel, but these were so far out of reach to me last year that it feels almost surreal to be setting them as personal targets now. Regardless, I plan to have fun trying even if I can't acheive them, i'm just enjoying the process of finding out what i'm capable of.
Seeing myself improve, being consistent and disciplined, watching the miles pay off is so rewarding and frankly, very addictive! I guess that's a big part of why we all do it.

To say that none of us had ever met before that day, and we felt like the best of friends only a few hours later. It was amazing and so uplifting. An experience I’ll never forget ❤❤❤

One the best videos i have seen. I was in tears, what agreat achievement and a big congractulations to all the group. This video touched me because i can relate to all those in the group, people just like me aiming for a pb. I wish something like this is available in Leicester, i would pay to take part to achieve a pb. My current pb is 30mins but want to aim for sub 25. Thank you for this amazing video. Please make more like this, its so motivating.❤

Thanks Andy and Sarah! I used this as inspiration/ motivation to push for a 5km PB, at Park Run, today. Previous, hard fought, PB was 29:09…today, 27:45. The most pleasing thing was that I was able to maintain a relatively steady pace all the way through, even speeding up, slightly for the last 1km!
    Next stop, 25 minutes!

Loving your videos and the channel, so inspiring for me. Having never done an organised run, or would have even considered doing it in the past as I always thought I was never good enough, have now entered my first 10K run in September and have to do it in 1h15. This is thanks to the positive love of running on this channel and advice and seeing it can be done, so thank you all the challenges you do and keep up the amazing work you put into the channel

I just love what you guys do for the running community!
I have a bit of a niggle in my glute muscle at the moment, thus I am doing faster sessions under a bit of control. Very tempted to try for PB's in my 5km and 10km times, but I shall wait a bit.
I am going to go for a sub 4 hour marathon in the Cape Town Marathon on 15 October this year. It is ambitious, because my PB is a 4:30, but I am confident that I can pull it off.
You at TRC is such an inspiration and your videos have helped me so much! Thanks 🙏

I'm just returning to running after stopping completely during university. Im just getting back into it now, and my goal is to run a 10k non-stop before the end of the year. No matter how fast (or slow)! I came accross one of your videos a few months ago and decided to give running another go. I've learned so much from your videos. This was an incredible video to watch and made me so emotional. All the positive energy reminded me of why I love running and transported me back to the time I first witnessed a race which inspired me to start running as well. I've ran a few half marathons previously and have had a sub 2 goal time for years but wasn't able to achieve it. I'll be trying again this fall in Toronto and hope this is the one! Thank you for this big boost in morale :)

Before I figured running is also a skill, I improved my 5k PB from about 30 minutes to just under 26, and couldn't go under 25 minutes for nearly two months no matter how fast and hard I ran. Once I started paying attention and realized it's all about running efficiently and evenly rather than hard, I suddenly dipped under 25 minutes and eventually under 20. Great feeling. Happy for the guys in this video.

Having started running 7 weeks ago…. From literally nothing. Work in an office and never focused on fitness. I ran 8km non stop in just under an hour last week. I massively surprised myself and proved that anyone can be a runner if they chose to do it! Loved this video - My current goal is that get that non stop run to 10km.. without stressing about the time!

I basically avoided running my whole life until this year, and somehow I really fell in love this time around! Obviously couch to 5k and 10k means I’m dead slow, but after my first 10k at the end of September (Vitality10k in London), I’m shooting for that sub 28mins 5k PB. Nothing compares to most of the ppl watching your channel, just racing myself❤

Goal of sub 50 10k in September-current best 53:30 so need to push the 10k pace more…next goal after that is to run first marathon next year in memory of my mum who passed away 10 yrs ago! My goal is actually for my husband. I started running 2 years ago at 50 having not run at all since school. He coached and supported me all the way even when I had to run/walk 200m to start. I have now run 2 marathons with him as such great support , as he has been injured for the last year with ongoing ankle problem. He now has a place at London Marathon 24 (having to defer '23 due to the injury). I am so proud he hasn't given up and is doing his best to build back up, whilst still supporting me. I'd love this for him

Great job to help a group of runners achieve this. Working together can be such a massive benefit. My objective is to crack 20mins for 5k, with 30 seconds needed to achieve this target and hopefully before I am 50 in March next year. That’s when I can treat myself to some carbon shoes!
