My dad plays on switch, he bought it when it came out and we have been playing through for 2 days and we have 12:30 on our saves. I am taking him all the way through, this is his first survival game and I'm happy to report he is loving it.
I had a heart attack when the game broke and the laugh track came in. Forget the creatures under the sea, forget the darkness, there's nothing like dropping to lava and hearing people laughing with music in the background. 😨
For those of you who said goodbye to your Cuddlefish, here’s an idea for next time: you can find a total of 5 Cuddlefish eggs in the game. Find them, hatch them, but keep one rather than release it into captivity. Then, when it’s time to leave, say goodbye to the others, but save the captive one by keeping it in your pocket and boarding the Rocketship. (Or put it in one of the rocket’s lockers which are on the lower floor; don’t worry, the creatures are fine in there). If you can’t sell Cuddles to Alterra for the cancellation of your debt, then at least you’ll have someone to keep you company up there in orbit.
When jack was leaving the planet and there was like the wormhole thing, Sean should of made an edit of when he went through it and the neptune rocket was going so fast it rewound time and jack showed the first ever intro to his early access subnautica playthrough, now that woulda brought alot of nostalgia.
I've always thought that the only thing the game is missing is a final MASSIVE moment. You're walking up to your rocket to finally leave the planet, and waaaay off in the distance one of those Godzilla-sized fossil creatures jumps out of the water and splashes back in, and suddenly there's this moment of panic to blast off before a huge tidal wave slams into you and destroys everything you've built.
I think it would also be cool if when you hit the debris Field in space if you had to repair one or two things and like it would give you a emergency repair tool just in case you don’t have yours
Jack: “I don’t like that there are so many snake-like creatures” Jack 10 seconds later looking at the skeleton of a snake-like creature: “I wish this would come to life”

Fun fact: Three Ghost leviathan juveniles spawn in the game. They appear in the lost river. Even as juveniles, they are about the size of reaper leviathans, which are slightly bigger than a cyclops. They have different data entries than the normal ghost leviathans that spawn outside of the map, or in other areas such as the grand reef or the blood kelp zone, which are more than double the size of the juveniles.
