Im a High red belt on taekwondo. My next belt is black, Heres a Tip: Try to avoid using the same leg and Make sure to keep distance but be able to kick from that distance because being to close to your sparring partner could Make you fall or you could injure yourself.

Another way: Jump when the opponent tries to kick, this way you can hit the stomach or the chest or higher and get a chance to win, i did this this in a taekwondo match and won

Its good but not better if that happens u can counter it much faster with a jump roundus to the side or the opposite direction of the enemy and never stay in the side as ur enemy when u want to be a front leg player i am an national player of taekwondo so hope this helps!!

You can turn your back, but u can’t stay with your back facing the oppenent for very long. If you do that, its a penalty for avoiding thw fight
