I'm getting the best tour of Thailand because of you, STL. Thank you. The way you provide information helps your viewers make the right decisions, especially for someone like who's looking at Thailand as a next move. Lovely country. Indian 🇮🇳 looking at Thailand 🇹🇭 through a Canadian 🇨🇦. I still love you, Earth!
We spent 6 months traveling around Thailand. On sept 1st we’re moving into a furnished 2 bedroom condo/apartment right on the beach next to 7-11 in PKK for 15000 a month. We’ve taken a years lease. Check it out. There may be more available
@mark How can you stay for a year, if you don't mind me asking. Do you have a work visa or retirement visa or something? The longest I qualify for is 90 days.
I know it. Close to the Golden Beach hotel. Great location. I'm tucked away in a quiet side street about 5km from your new apartment. Prachuap is a lovely place to live
The land of Prachuap beach hotel used to be the place of my house. Last time I went to PKK was 2nd Jan 2020 before Covid. What shock me the most is so many foreigners in town. I stopped at the coffee shop near my old house and have a chat with a couple Farang. I asked them why PKK. They said they love the vibe (Chill & Relax) and try to get away from crowded Hua-Hin. I will bring my VN gals to visit PKK some day. I'm sure she gonna love PKK beach which is look like her home town in central VN. Thanks for your superb video.
Just left PKK last week and loved the whole vibe of the place. I'll give it a couple of years before people start flocking to this gem. Loving the series!
Ahhh, another great video. That area is really growing on me since watching your series on it. I can see why it has been a favorite of yours for so many years. Nice job and great eats. Thanks again for another lovely tour.
Hiya STL. Milano's is a favorite with many. All their food looks tasty. Love the table. Your breakfast looks tasty. Good call buying more bread. Love your videos. Always so informative. Lovely that he showed you around. Bruschetta. I love it. Your dinner has made me feel hungry. Lol. See you on the next one. Happy Thursday and Weekend.
Congrats on 5 years from your very first video STL!!! 🥳👏🏼🎉 You do an amazing job. 💯 Thank you for sharing all you do and being fun, entertaining you.🙏🏼🧡😁 P.S. Seeing that yummy breakfast is making me want to wake up there to enjoy it. 😋 Looked absolutely delicious... but I would have gotten pancakes too. ☺️ (I miss good pancakes!) 🥞 And that warm bread 🤤🍞- what a deal too!
Great little restaurant you found there, the food looked delicious…nice look at some of the accommodations too……great video STL…….best YT in Thailand (only my opinion)
I have to agree with you. So well presented great commentary on the everyday things most of us are interested in. None better in my humble opinion too. Bushyboy Oz.
Going to Thailand in a couple of weeks. Your videos have been so helpful! Thank you😊 I fell in love with Prachuap 8 years ago when I did a hitchhiking trip across Thailand. We were brought to the town and spent the night in a tent just under what we later learned to be a monkey mountain. No wonder in the morning we had to leave the spot as fast as possible; monkeys were trying to tear our tent apart😂
I have had a Wonderful life with Lots of Travel.... But I am getting the feeling that I have missed a trick here..... Just such an Amazing place... Life and Energy but not too much..... Great job STL.... :-))
Avid watcher of your trips ......I love them !! Been to Thailand many times.... getting towards time for another, much longer visit soon 🤞.... looking forward to a new side trip video soon .... always never too long and never boring, great work man 😎
STL , I love your videos. I'm coming to Thailand in the very near future. Looking for a place to retire away from Australia. Fed up with the west. Had been looking into the Philippines but I keep getting drawn back to Thailand. Your videos have helped me make up my mind. I'm looking for a peaceful and beautiful spot. Not interested in big cities. Melbourne has gotten so expensive. Areas like this suit me perfectly. Thank you for the inspiration.
Hi, thanks but I still feel it's best to physically visit both countries to see which may suit better. Also I always recommend not immediately buying or even signing any long term rentals. Rather, visit as many places in each country as possible, then stay at least 3 months in a desired area (airbnb or other) and if all seems to 'fit' then proceed. Anyways, sounds like you're doing a lot of research, that's great, hope you find the perfect place for you. Cheers, STL
Howdy Ozzie. I am over the ditch in Kiwiville and I feel the same as you do and it's only a matter of time before ima shooting through to Thailand. I too was toying with Ph but decided that Third World country's are not an optimal place to live plus there has been an escalation of robberies and violence towards foreigners, screw that, the joint is herpes anyways.
In a taxi from Bangkok as we speak. In PKK this afternoon....cant wait. Without your videos we'd never have consider visiting. Many thanks, Keep up the good work!
great video, we just rented a place in Hua Hin, also rented a vehicle, Prachuap Khiri Khan is definitely an area we will be travelling to. We are using Hua Hin as a base, if we like it we will stay, not interested in BKK, way to busy, great for short visits, but prefer the South beach areas
Aah... not watched for a while, chilled and ready ( sort of ) to go to work 😅. Interesting when you show the bathrooms, it reminded me of a small, new resort we stayed in near Chaiyaphum. Separate toilet and shower but, when you used the shower the drain was at the higher end of the walled area, so, it ran around the wall and across the floor past the toilet! 😮 which kinda defeated the object! 😂 Bless.
Love the area. We've stayed right beside your hotel (Zeazide) and went to eat breakfast at that little lovely restaurant you've been. Outstanding video, as always 😀
Just stumbled onto your channel is I'm looking into Thailand as my next destination. I'm 65 and retired. I'm looking for a laid-back Beach town in Thailand that has good amenities and the laid-back feeling with a great beach. Not interested in big city life. I've never heard of PKK until now and it looks pretty decent. The breakfast that you had and the little restaurant showed me a lot about the place. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my big German Shepherd. I know I can import him into Thailand but one of my worries is getting there and then having to leave again in just trying to figure out what to do with him. Might have to wait until he's gone or give to one of my sons. I think I would rather have a house than a condo. But definitely would want a pool and a fitness center. I'm ready to go tomorrow....
I’m in the same boat. Got a Rottweiler and GSD that I’m gonna keep here in the US until they pass, then I’m leaving and retiring overseas. I want to retire on my military pension while I’m still young and not work myself half to death until the usual retirement age.
Great video answered every question i had a about the area. The food looks amazing at all the restaurants. I am afraid if i visited i might never want to leave. Great job.
Loving PKK everytime I watch your videos,,,again, again. I heard you say you didn't mean to make it popular. However, thank you ST. Keep posting your wonderful Journey!
Thailand is smarter than my USA. Similar coastal rentals in USA (if you can find them) are often three times or more expensive. Hats off to the beautiful country of Thailand that offers such wonderful places for such fair prices.
I love this place, first time was 2005. At that time there's not a lot of hotels there. I was with a few friends many times there or some time alone. But since 7 years I haven't been there again... I really miss pkk.
I keep coming back to these blogs on PKK and Hua Hin. It’s a lovely place easily connected to Hua Hin and BKK by train. It’s a shame that the Hua Hin/Pattaya ferry shut down for good.
Another great video on rental is very nice town PKK my wife and I plan on visiting PKK this January check out the town and see if have pet friendly house rental we plan moving to Thailand with 1 dog. Thanks for sharing look forward next video keep up the good work 🙏
Yeah I watched it to the end and enjoyed it. It looks close to what I am looking for. Prices are really good too for mostly everything except for the imported stuff which is to be expected.
We love your videos ! Thank you very much , would you consider making them longer ? For us that would be coming for the first time is there a place you would recommend for us find a to find a local that would show us around ( for a fee of course :) ) Also I see you speak excellent Tahi , do you think we would be able to get along ok with English? Great informative video, thank you thinking about retiring in Thailand for a few years (with our dogs and cats), PKK is busy enough for us. Are there many street dogs around?
It would be good if you can include a Google map shot right at the beginning of every video. You might be making a series, but you tube offers them up individually
That's it! You've done it again! A 2 bed house, quiet neighbourhood, with pool and gym, for what? Just north of £300 a month!!!!! What the frick am I doing still here in the UK?
i was in Thailand this year, but now i am in Vietnam. But i want to go to thailand again! So i am looking for longstay rental. THX for your videos. IPrachuap Khrir Khan seems like a good option! Central, close to Bangkok.

Probably the best channel I've seen so far. Hoping to visit Thailand early next year for the first time but seeing all the beautiful places, i now have a problem, where do I stay lol. Any recommendations for a older guy who wants to relax and enjoy what Hua Hin has to offer?
I looked online and a nearby Denny’s didn’t show a Grand Slam, but had a Grand Slamwich….for $14.49!!! The other “ classic breakfasts” were also in the $14-18 range. Ouch.
Thanks Nicky. All good, just so busy with a project thus little time to edit vids. Also don't have video editors like more frequent YT'rs use (just old skool diy;) but hopefully get one out this week. Cheers, STL
@@SideTripLife Good to hear you are good. I only use my mobile and video editor on my laptop. Old skool style. New stuff is too busy for me. 555. Look forward to it. Happy Monday. Have a wonderful week.
Old skool is cool, just takes a LOT more effort and time. Tempting to outsource to a cheap online worker to edit my vids (like many YT'rs do these days) but like you will keep to the good ol DIY :)
The house rental it not for me little too high for me the prices were too high for my budget All of them looks great. And the foods looks good and looks delicious.
Love this video you are doing a great job Coming to Thailand in November to check out for future retirement the following year Would you say this was a good place to retire thanks again
So enjoy watching your video's!!! Thailand is a beautiful country. What is the name of the second reggae song playing, the one without words? It is very cool. :)
