    Ty Francie and Max. I have a CT reservation for the last 2 years, but a quick Google search said my wait is 145 months! and I am in Texas not too far from the Giga Factory! Will get me an R1T for now.
    Maybe not a bad thing, as by the time I receive the CT, they would have worked all the bugs, and maybe lowered the price.

    I don't want/need a pickup at all, but if I did the only thing that would make me pause is the range for towing or going far off-road. Love everything else about it. Has the same beauty as a tank or an axe - it looks like a purpose-built tool with function giving a big middle finger to aesthetics and people who want a "pretty" truck. So many innovations and, asside from the range, the specs and features are awesome.

    I talked to a Model S owner who said he got the call from the Mt Kisco NY Delivery Center for his CT Reservation.
    He is going with the dual motor and is moving forward.

    I made a reservation the day of the 2019 reveal event. They accepted my deposit but they don't show any indication I have a reservation in my Telsa acct. So I had to make another reservation the other day. This has happened to me 2 times now. Once for the model 3 and once for the Cybertruck. They seem to be eating the money and not necessarily managing the process of deposits well. This happened with GMC as well with the Hummer. Only Ford came back to me on a Bronco deposit but only if I wanted to pay 25K over invoice. So lesson learned deposits are like crowdfunding events which may never result in refunds or getting an opportunity to get a vehicle. All that said I went ahead bought a 23 Tundra 1794 Hybrid and will wait to see if I ever get an email from Tesla with an opportunity to order.

      @@robertweekley5926 I'm sure my $100 deposit is somewhere in the Tesla ethos. I just spent $250 during the delivery day presentation.

    I’m like 422k in line. I reserved my Cybertruck 1.5 to 2 months after it was initially unveiled. I’m most definitely going to wait (though I may take Tesla in their $1k off offer though). Why am I willing to wait? What other truck out there actually looks like the future? I’ve been saying that since it was unveiled. In my defense though, I love just about anything in the cyberpunk genre so there’s a lot of bias in favor of the truck for that reason

    If you had a $100 tri-motor reservation with FSD from Nov. 2019 and changed the reservation this week to the dual motor, do you keep FSD price of $7K?

    Is there a breakdown of how many trimotor reservations there are? With all the feedback and information compiled I think the conversion rate will be 15% to 20% so a trimotor reservation like mine in the 500k area may be delivered somewhere 2024 qtr4 to 2025 qtr2, whats everyone think??

    • @robertweekley5926
      @robertweekley5926 ปีที่แล้ว

      Last I heard, from analysis of the Fan site, about 15% were the Single Motor, and the balance were near equal for Dual Motor & Tri-Motor.
      But - these are "Launch Prices" - Intended to help cover their Higher Initial Build Costs, partly due to Build Rate, Fixed Overhead, and Process Refinement is still fairly Early in the game. In the "18 Months to be Ramped Up & Profitable" time frame by Elon, we can guess that the prices will have shifted, either Up, or Down, depending on the Growth rate of the Reservations vs their Build Rate.

    They can produce high 10k or low 20k units next year. So yes, the wait is long.
    PS: That low spec base model is just a marketing gimmick to justify $80k on the actual halo CT model's $80k price tag. Just like the M3 MacBook 8 GB model. People still fall for it?

  • @craighermle7727
    @craighermle7727 ปีที่แล้ว

    The $250 deposit is refundable? Really? Any other Tesla that is "ordered" has s $250 nonrefundable deposit associated with it. If you "ordered" any , x,,y, 3 Tesla and put a $250 deposit on, decided 1 hour later that you had a bit of "buyer's remorse" and wanted the $250 back, It' isn't going to happen, nor will that $250 be applied to any other Tesla you might buy in the future. I ordered a "Y" a few months ago, but canceled the order because the loan terms that I agreed to were changed after the deposit was in Tesla's pocket.

  • @craighermle7727
    @craighermle7727 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not sure how anyone can seriously consider that the "millions" of backlog is meaningful. $100 refundable deposit? Heck if wasn't refundable, $100 isn't going to keep too many, if any, from walking away.
