  • The time has come to address these floors! Stripping the interior and creating custom floor pans. As well as tieing sliders in through the floor in preparation for a roll cage.
Should I raise the trunk to tuck the gas tank?

You did good work patching those pans. I'd like to see you move the tank up. I plan to move mine up and like to see how others do it before I plunge in.

Great job on the floor repair, what a pain but worth it. I like the idea of moving that tank up. Good editing, too.

Thanks! And I’m questioning moving the floor up, kinda just want to get out of the garage and out wheeling

So many h2o leak points on an xj. Damn shame. Would be a lot more of them on the road if they came water tight from the factory. Took a long time to find them all in the front got one more to fix. Then i can put the carpets back in. Then on to the rear...

Or.... embrace the leaks. I just ripped the carpet out of mine to find all of the rust I knew would be lurking there. I'll patch the holes and monstaliner the floors. I'll put in drain plugs at the low points (like a wrangler) and just let the water pass through. It's a 34 year old jeep, it'll be fine.
